One of our favorites

While not the best kept up park, the attached nature center, miles of paths, and nearby attractions make this a recurring stop for us. The price is great, as well.

It's ok

Nothing special about this campground, but if you live nearby, and just want to get away, it's ok. The water, though, is disgusting! This is owned by the City of Lafayette. It seems like they would take care of this water situation! Something is not right with it. Also, lots of raccoons, so keep your food inside if you don't want to have to buy more!

Boardwalk and trails

We were here in February and it was lovely. Hardly anyone here. And the board walk and trails made for a really nice afternoon walk. There is a jungle-like feeling on the boardwalk and beautiful trees! Would make a nice overnight stop, as you are just a moment away from restaurants.

Small but ok

Nothing special about this campground, but a nice get-away if you live close by and just want to enjoy some peace and quiet away from home.  That's what I always used it for.  Warning, though...bring your own water.  Something is wrong with the water there.  It smells and tastes weird.  Don't know if it's the pipes or what, but it's nasty.

The site is nice however,

This place is ok, there are hook ups and a great trail, its next to a city park for the kids but then there is the however part. Its in the middle of town, you travel thru a neighbor to get to it, the park is a city park so on the weekend its pretty crowded.
