Valentine Lake Northshore Campground

**The campground and trails around Kincaid Lake remain closed due to Hurricane Laura damage.**
The Kincaid Lake Recreation Complex on the Evangeline Unit in the Calcasieu Ranger District, has two modern campgrounds, a group picnic area, and a primitive camping area. 

Kincaid Lake, a 2,600 acre reservoir, provides the setting for this attractive development.

Kincaid Recreation Area provides a wide range of outdoor opportunities including camping, swimming, picnicking, boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling.

Kincaid Lake Campground - Temporarily Closed

Cotile Lake is a man-made impoundment located in the uplands approximately 15 miles west northwest of Alexandria, Louisiana.  The lake is approximately 1,775 acres in size and was completed in October 1965.  The Louisiana Wild Life and Fisheries Commission stocked this impoundment with the proper species and number of game fish in 1965-66 shortly after its completion date.

The recreational facilities on Cotile Lake are among the finest in Central Louisiana.  There is a large area cleared and zoned for swimming with complete bath house facilities nearby.  There is a water skiing area that is cleared and snagged for safety of the skiiers.  The picnic and camping areas are modern and complete.   There is also space available for campers.

Hidden Pines Campground is a family friendly campground with 65 sites that range from 45 to 80 ft long, all sites are 30/50 capable with water and sewer. We have 3 pools, a water slide and a splash pad for the little ones. We also have a 4000 square foot pavilion for hosting bands and activities. There is no cable on the property, your digital antenna will catch plenty of channels, but we do offer free WiFi thru out the park.

Hidden Pines Campground

The Evangeline Camp is located 4 miles south of Louisiana Highway 28 on Forest Road 273 (Messina Road). This road is paved until about 1/2 mile from the camp where it turns into gravel. The best camping flats are just down the hill past the vaulted restroom. There is no water at this site.

Evangeline Camp Complex

Camping is permitted adjacent to the trail, but campsites must be established at least 30 feet away from the trail center line. This is primitive camping - no amenities.

Valentine Lake Wild Azalea Trail

Visitors to Oak Camp can expect a primitive camp inside the National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Preserve. This camp is available for horse and general camping. No OHV camping allowed. This camp is also a designated hunter's camp. General camping, no water available, and vault toilets.

Hidden Treasure RV Resort

Visitors to the Kisatchie Ranger District for the purpose of OHV riding can utilize the Lotus Camp for day-use and camping. The Sandstone Trail has a connecting spur trail that enters the backside of the camp and allows visitors easy access from their vehicle to the trail. General camping, drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings are available at the camp sites. Sandstone Trail use requires an additional $5 per operator fee.

Lotus Camp

Visitors to Cane Camp can enjoy a quiet and peaceful setting under the shade of large pine trees carpeted with green grass. This horse camp is located near the Sandstone Multiple-Use Trail and can be a riders camping point to utilize the Caroline Dormon Trail. General camping, water available, flush toilets, and horse feeding tie poles.
