Rare gem

We only have one night here but what an amazing day. Huge assist to the perfect weather and lack of wildfire smoke, but the landscape of granite towers and ridges is a a nearly endless playground for all abled bodies to climb and explore. My kid brought her Bam Bam Flintstone and fit right in. Each…

All by yourself along the road.

We stayed in the campsite overlooking the lake and accross the road. There are about 7 campsites all with metal pole building type shelters and picnic tables. Each site also provides a fire ring. One of the downsides to the campground is the proximity to the road. There was a number of loud…

Great view and quiet

We had a quiet campground nestled in the trees. Just a short walk away brings you to incredible views and cool rock formations. There is an outhouse but no running water and it’s a trash in/trash out campsite. We loved our stay and got great pictures.

Birds, bugs and beauty

Primitive camping requires hauling camping goods to site. No site parking for the tent people. Rv parking is good with plenty of room. Nice little boat launch with Great Lake to play in. Fishing was good and kids loved the swimming.

Hidden gem

We found this site on the Dyrt in looking for a stopover between Park city Utah and Boise Idaho. Wow, Bennet Springs is a hidden gem! We took the site at the eastern end and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Nice trail along the creek and wildflowers everywhere. The road is visible from…

Hidden gem in Idaho

This was a great spot to pull into. A beautiful drive in and a lovely campsite right next to a creek. Clean pit toilets, easy parking, and a nice hike to cover before dinner. Great tree cover and easy access from the car to the campsite. Highly recommend!

A surprise

The weird - you exit by the fertilizer plant. 😬 Then drive through an RV and Boat storage facility. There might be no one here to greet you and the little office will still be open 🤣 With the AC running. The ice cream bin is plugged in and cold, but there is no ice cream.

The bad - it's a…

Serene and peaceful

This is my favorite place on the planet. The camp facilities are fairly primitive but there are pit/vault toilets available. I can not express how gorgeous the landscape is or how bright the stars are at night. Our campspot was #22. Not a ton of shade, but excellent views. You have to have cash…

Great family gathering spot

Easy to get in and out of. Beautiful location and great host’s. The pool is old but very refreshing. You feel isolated but you’re close to town.

Private with views of the mountains

Caution: Save yourself some time, dust and frustration and enter Smoky Mountain Campground into your GPS and not Castle Rock State Park like we did. Haha.

We were so surprised when we got to this campground. Private sites. Clean. Paved, not gravel. Not the most level we've been in but totally…

Beautiful, quiet and clean

I arrived on a thursday around noon and had just a couple spots to choose from. The newer spots near the entrance are pretty level and have spectacular views of Mormon Canyon. The lower spots look nice and shady and there are a few that can accommodate a trailer. The vault toilets were very clean,…

Open, quiet space in forest

Really long gravel from highway to site. So far off the highway that it is complete quiet and serenity. Had firewood there and a fire ring to build a fire. Also a picnic table. Beautiful views.
