Mosquito Freak Off

We intended to stay for 2-3 nights, but were swarmed with mosquitos and left after the first night. Initially they got in our RV when we were unloading, but then they swarmed our screens and were trying to get in all night. Around 5 AM- they found a way into our bathroom through our fan and swarmed us in bed. My karma is off kilter- I must have killed > 100 of them.

You should bring some sort of perimeter bug repellent. These guys were gnarly and tenacious and didn’t care about bug spray- herbal or deet.

In town- they were not as bad. We ended up at McCrea bridge campground and boon docked for $25/night and had no mosquito issues.

Great spot

Great spot. Good views if you get a spot close to the the creek. Easy to get to and the road was in good condition. Some cell phone reception. Some flies. Some noise from the road close by but not an issue. Please be respectfull of wild life in the area (there are fish and small frogs in the creek). Please dont disturb them, dont get in the creek
