Trailer camping

A pleasant surprise. Large sites. Many with views of the Snake River. You can hike and fish. The visitor center has a great historical exhibit about the Oregon Trail.

Rare gem

We only have one night here but what an amazing day. Huge assist to the perfect weather and lack of wildfire smoke, but the landscape of granite towers and ridges is a a nearly endless playground for all abled bodies to climb and explore. My kid brought her Bam Bam Flintstone and fit right in. Each…

Good for a stopover

This is a typical BLM site. Be prepared with everything you might need. There is a vault toilet and people have thrown trash down it, so don’t be those people. It’s about 6.5 miles off of a paved road in a well maintained gravel road if you follow the GPS directions in the dark. Otherwise. It’s a…

All by yourself along the road.

We stayed in the campsite overlooking the lake and accross the road. There are about 7 campsites all with metal pole building type shelters and picnic tables. Each site also provides a fire ring. One of the downsides to the campground is the proximity to the road. There was a number of loud…

Overnight Stop

This campground was convenient to come in late and leave early. We called ahead and they were very accommodating. Manager gave us an end sight we could pull in, stay hooked up, went to bed, got up early and headed out.

Great place

I love this KOA campground. It’s very clean and the people that run it are very nice. I love the store here. They have souvenirs. Some grocery and they also have an ice cream machine. Their ice cream is great.

Beautiful and helpful

I spent 2 days/nights in a 27’ camper. My original site was to small even though it was rated to fit my camper. The camp host came over and switched me without being asked and was very helpful. The landscape is beautiful and the park is large. There is no swimming in the river which was a…

Hidden gem

We found this site on the Dyrt in looking for a stopover between Park city Utah and Boise Idaho. Wow, Bennet Springs is a hidden gem! We took the site at the eastern end and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Nice trail along the creek and wildflowers everywhere. The road is visible from…

Spectacular views

Absolutely beautiful views of the Snake river. Very friendly and helpful staff member and a history rich visitor center. Miles of hiking paths. The upper loop does have some traffic noise from the nearby highway but fantastic views the lower loop is quieter and some sites have a clear view of the…

The other reviewers have mistaken Scout Mt. campground for this one

this campsite is a singular unit for large groups. This unit is right off the main road, S. Fork Mink Cr. Rd just past the ranger station and Tmobile users will have cell coverage, not sure about the other service providers. The beavers have been hard at work damming that stretch of creek creating…

Beautiful view, smells like cows

Incredible river views. Secluded in Muskrat Bend section. Lots of birds. Pit toilet clean and well stocked, even at the end of the holiday weekend. Easy access from the interstate. Smelled like cow pasture.

Serene and peaceful

This is my favorite place on the planet. The camp facilities are fairly primitive but there are pit/vault toilets available. I can not express how gorgeous the landscape is or how bright the stars are at night. Our campspot was #22. Not a ton of shade, but excellent views. You have to have cash…
