Sawtelle RV Resort

Nice place, RV and hotel, very friendly staff, our site is ok. Weather has been bad so we haven’t been out as much as usual. Showers/bathrooms are really nice and clean. Best shower I’ve ever used. Only downside is the laundry room isn’t available at campground and I had to go to hotel to do laundry in bad weather….sleeting and snow.

Nice campground, great pool!

This was a great campground, that’s pretty close to Yellowstone. Our kids loved the pool. We didn’t love our campsite. The fire pit was awkwardly close to the site next to us.

Not fans

We reserved a full hookup rv site for our time at Yellowstone. When we checked in we were informed that they had found e. Coli in the water so not to drink it. Mmm K. The shower in the women’s restroom that I used the first night was super harsh and beat the hell out of my young son and I, and was kinda dirty. There also is sand where the campers are parked so you can imagine the mess of 5 kids and 2 adults tracking it in and out of the camper. There was an indoor pool and hot tub that the kids enjoyed, also a game room that was very nice. The lodge seemed very nice , new and clean. The laundry was quite a ways away from the campground and only one set per lodge floor and the closest one was out of order when we needed it. No problem, went upstairs and the one there was occupied so we had to wait and scramble to get our stuff washed and dried before 10pm per the rules. There was a playground the kids wanted to go to one night but were told there was an event so they had to leave. It was a convenient location but wouldn’t go back.

I'd stay here again.

Spent 3 nights on 2 separate occasions here. Booked 2 nights at a tent site on the front end of the trip. Plenty of space in the tent area, nice grassy space and some trees for shade. Had a picnic table which was really nice to have a place to get up off the ground. Couldn't drink the tap water due to E. Coli issues. The bathrooms were decent but the showers could have been better. Kind of pricey and didn't realize it when I booked it. $82 for 2 nights at a camp site for 2 people. There was a grocery store across the way which was nice. On the back end of the trip we had to book an RV site since there were no tent sites. It was nice having access to power close by. The women's bathroom was out of toilet paper while I was there. Kind of a bummer.

Site had no power, switched to along side road

Booked the 2 nights in May for July, got to the site and was placed in a tent site with no power. I had reserved 30Amps and Water, site was full and only available spot was along side an access road, no where to sit. Another RV also next to us had the same thing happen. Was told manger would come to see us, no one turned up. Also they said you cannot drink the water! Very poor.

Busy but convenient

We enjoyed our stay. July 2019. RV sites are very crammed and close. They pack a lot of sites into the park. There are lots of trees, a few sites have nice view, but most are looking at other campers. Showers are average but clean. Laundry was only available during pool hours (same building) so don't expect to wash anything between 10pm and 10am. Firewood available for purchase on site, also across the highway along with groceries and gas.
