Good location - Needs updates

At first we were a bit disappointed but overall it turned out to be a good location for going to the Trail of 100 Giants and the Kern River. The WiFi didn’t work and the bathroom only had two showers. It needs to be updated but it was clean and the people were nice.

Decent

Very basic, pretty clean, decent flush toilets, $20 per night, lots of bugs in July.

Nice getaway

The campsite is really nice if you looking to get away from big crowds. You have to get there early if you want to get a shaded site. Working toilets were a plus and you have room to work with when setting up your gear. The lake or river you do need to drive too which is the only negative remark I…

Great place dangerous river

We camp here every year. Usually late shooting to early summer. Camp grounds are well maintained. Would not recommend camping on holidays. Close to 2 lakes ming and hart Park.

Epic Sunrises & Mountain Views

Our moto-escape from L.A. to McGill Campground in Frazier Park/ Pine Mountain was absolutely perfect. Coming from the south, we took the back way through Ojai, up the 150 and 33 over to Lockwood Valley Road and then Cuddy Valley Road. The fresh air and cooler temps were a welcome exchange to our…

Camping in the woods

It’s a huge park, lots of spots. We went during the week and it was empty, quiet and peacefully. Stayed at the weekend camp hosts spot and it was perfect!

Amazing campsite

Everything was great about this campground. Showers, phones service, WiFi, showers and locks with passcode on the bathroom doors and a pool just to name a few things. Weather was great and we loved everything about staying here.

Camping with a Pop-UP Trailer

This was a pretty nice campground. We were at group site 3, it has a covered picnic area and flat area for tents closer to the river bank.

We called park services to make sure our camper was allowed (Twice) and it indeed it was. However when using a pop up you are essentially camping in the…

Brite Lake 👍

Brite Lake is a small lake but you can definitely catch some fish! You can camp right up to the water which was awesome! It does get a little windy at times but nothing too crazy 👍

High altitude, hidden in the trees

Beautiful spot. Old school mountainside camping in the tall trees. Campsites are around 6,000’, pit toilets, grills, steel fire pits, picnic tables and potable water taps. We spent a night in late May and there were only a few other sites occupied on a Wednesday night. This is a hidden gem. It was…
