    Greenhorn Capground at Rollins Lake

    We stayed in mid September 26. There was only one family camping the first few days we were there and then we had the entire campground to ourselves. Location was beautiful and it was extremely quiet with exception to the wildlife. Lots of deer, geese, ducks and squirrels. Possible one bear sure to a dumpster dive with shredded garbage on our last day. We were in a 28' RV. Rv camping is a no frill experience. No hook-ups but water spigot at each site. RVs have to parallel park at the top of the hill area. They campers have the difficulty of finding a level spot because most of the tent camping is on a slope. Flush toilets are available. Spotty cell service on Verizon's visible service but we were still able to stream entertainment on our phone's hotspot. Overall, we loved it stay due to the scenery and the obvious peacefulness due to an empty campground. Our 3 night stay midweek with no hook-ups was just over $200.00 which is to me absolutely outrageous but we needed a place to stay on short notice. Aside from the cost, we had an absolutely wonderful peaceful experience watching the wildlife and beautiful scenery.

    Nothing like camping under the redwoods with sounds of streams nearby. Restrooms and facilities are clean and well maintained. Park Rangers are extremely nice and helpful.

    Azalea Campground — Kings Canyon National Park

    Restrooms too far

    We had a spot on the farthest loop, which was beautiful on a ridge but set us about 600 yards/steps from the nearest restroom, which means going to the loo, brushing your teeth or doing the dishes (there are signs not to do these things at the water taps that are closer) all set you back at least 10 minutes if you're not self-contained. Also note the campground has no showers.

    Pretty area & nice beach!

    Nice campground with a dog-friendly beach! The hosts said bears frequent the area, but we didn't see any. Our campsite was very peaceful and quiet.

    It's gorgeous, shaded, and clean! The campground was taken care of, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Plus, it's just a short walk from the campsites to hiking trails and a beach!

    COE Success Lake Tule Campground

    Not a bad plce but a bit uncared for

    Our site was 104. Decent site with no services. Picnic table was bent up, bathrooms were OK but needed regular service. Half the showers didn’t function for several reasons, dirty and lots of big spiders, not clean, doors would not close or lock, lights did not work.

    Lassen NF Forest Rte 32N17

    Really nice quiet spot amongst the trees

    The tall trees are an amazing backdrop to this beautiful forest location. Near to 44 yet still quiet with only the occasional truck noise from the highway. The road in is well maintained and there are several established locations with multiple camps with fire rings. Some of them should easily accommodate big rigs even those towing large trailers. I had the south side of the road to myself near the pin for multiple nights with one or two campers across the road that came and left early. The night sky provides some excellent star gazing on clear nights! Some of the biggest pine cones I've ever seen!
