    Indian Flat RV Park

    Great but tight

    I will start with the good. Fantastic WiFi, extremely clean bathrooms and shower rooms, excellent pool at cedar Lodge next door, short walkable distance to the YART bus stop into Yosemite, great price for a campground 8 miles from a national park entrance and easy access to a beautiful little river park across the highway. The only negative is, out of the several hundred campgrounds I have camped in over the last six years, none have even come close to how packed this place is. I was fortunate to get the best campsite in the park but across from me are 4 campers in an area no larger than some single campsites I have stayed at. The spaces don't allow for parking both your camper and your towing vehicle so you need to use the overflow parking which is outside the campground parallel to the highway. The Jupe Tents, tent cabins, and cottages are also packed just as tight as are the tent sites. I would still recommend this campground to anyone wanting to go to Yosemite though. It's definitely the closest and most convenient campground

    Well run, clean park

    Friendly staff, well run, clean bathrooms and showers. Bumpy narrow road on the levee on the road in but doable. It is windy due to the location, particularly at night. Really shook the RV.

    High Valley Ridge

    Great Spot, easy drive

    Recent regrading of the southern road up made it a cake walk, it's like a runway. Got to the big circle at the top and stayed there but there are more roads branching off and then pullouts down the north side.

    High Valley Rd Dispersed

    Roads Regraded - Super Easy Now

    The road up from the south is like a runway now, wide, smooth not a single rut. A bit dusty but other than that it's the easiest fire road I've ever driven (Mazda CX-5). Northern end is a bit narrower but still all graded, better up higher on BLM property than lower national forest road.

    Lots of little pullouts when you reach the top and then as you head down the north side more with beautiful views of the lake. Some private property on that end but nothing unusual.

    Goat Meadow - Dispersed Camp Site

    Very convenient !

    Nice area very close to Yosetime entrance. Pines all around. Some kids running around having a good time. Even on a public holiday there was plenty of space. Potholes on the road coming in but easily accessible. Also really close to the visitor information center down the road for bathrooms.

    Mattole Campground

    Windy But Awesome

    Pulled in on Wednesday night in mid May and there were plenty of sites left. Was windy at first but it eventually calmed down. Decent amount of activity around as it is a trailhead as well.

    Really cool to see wildlife on the beach and an easy walk over the berm to the waters edge.

    Lassen Creek Campground

    Lazy Creek

    Found this Gem along 44, follow gravel road down as the trees open up it's just on the left. A chill sanctuary next to the creek. Very little traffic down the road even on the weekend. Had my dog with me, did not find any ticks here!

    Cons - Creek has been ravaged for gold, so a few piles of rocks and gravel left over. Very dusty, gravel road unleashes clouds of dust as people drive by.( Very rare)
