Very relaxing

Rangers were very nice, it was clean and they have pretty good showers. We were very late to check-in but had no problems getting in. One of the boat launch ramps was right there in the camp ground and the other was really close at lake view. Water was really low but still had a blast on my kayak…

Horrible

This KOA was horrible. It was unkempt, the grass was dead, no gravel, no shade and the camp was set up so your camper was in the sun all day. Also, had friends who stayed in a cabin which had roaches. The bathroom was CO-ED - but let me explain. When I say co-ed, I mean a single room with showers…

Close to water, some shade

Campsite is close to the water you could definitely post up at the lake and easily get to and from campsite. Plenty of space for multiple tents There are a few trees for shade but I’d recommend bringing something to make more shade. We were there in the 4th and it was busy but not at all…

Love the View

We stayed here last May and was fully mesmerized by the view of the lake and the mountains. Nights were equally gorgeous as we watched all the stars. Will surely plan our next visit here.

Memorial weekend mayhem

The only reason I’m giving a 1-star is due to our tent site next to the river—which was fun and refreshing especially for the kids. Also the proximity to the national park was very convenient. First of all there are signs at the riverfront campsites for other campers to NOT walk through people…

River Sites

Great, clean place only 6 miles from Sequoia National Park entrance. This place has sites where you can back up to the river, is clean, has nice dog park area, nice fire pits & courteous staff.

Peaceful Getaway

Pine Flat is a beautiful place close to home yet far enough to find a peaceful getaway at the lake. Campgrounds are clean, restrooms and showers are close to campaign if you are tent camping. Trails to hike and explore.

Lovely spot, but busy grounds and nearby road

We are working out way north through CA and Horse Creek was in a convenient spot. Site very clean and well managed and overall its a pretty spot. Only 2-3 large and dispersed bath rooms. A number of large groups around the site which looks fun but it felt more like an urban park than being in…

Meh.....

I’ll start with the positive. The staff was incredibly nice and the sites were level left to right. The park is a couple swings in a sand pit, there seems to be a lot of permanent residents, the water supply in each site is topped with a sprinkler to water the grass in the sites. We stayed 2…

Sufficient

Good place to crash if the sequoia campgrounds are full. Good amenities, and friendly staff, but you sacrifice privacy and immediate access to the park’s trails. About 1.5 hours from Giant Forest and Wolverton, but it’s a gorgeous 1.5 hours.

Nice spot near Sequoia

We had a good stay here. It's a smaller campground but met our needs. We ended up camping in a dry site as it had more space and was at the end of the park under some oaks (site 17). The RV sites were close together and the ones not on the river were on a gravel parking lot. There was free wifi…

Perfect Spot for Sequoia

Stayed 4 nights the first two dry camping in spot 14 in the Oak Grove, nice and spacious with a little deck picnic table and fire pit. The last two nights in spot 26 (pictured) which was spacious on the small river (probably larger later in spring) and full hook up. Pretty mountain views from both…

Good camping site (tent campsite)

Had a fun time with the family, had accesible restroom and showers, had picnic table so we could put our things, shade, place where we could set our tent with our truck next to us, and we were able to go swimming in the lake. 👍👍👍

Pretty, Simple, and Comfortable

Visited right before Christmas and so we were treated to chilly temperatures and a relatively empty park. As a result, the experience was quiet and relaxing with a soundtrack dominated by the creek right outside our site. Location is perfect as a launch point for trips into Sequoia NP!
