Nice and peaceful

Beautiful and shady. There is access to the stream which has a nice swimming hole, if you don’t mind the cold. The campground is quite with absolutely no cell service, which is great if that’s what you are looking for. A small warning, the mosquitoes are abundant in the early evening.

Loud and Poopy

Not far from Ashland and right past the Hyatt Lake Resort are some dispersed spots on BLM land near the lake. The lake level is very low so at this time you could drive quite close to it but it gets really muddy so watch out because it looks grassy and deceivingly dry.

There is road noise but…

One of several RV parks to make it through the fire of 2020

This park is one of several that came through the fire.   Years ago HWY 99 was dotted with RV stopping places from Ashland tp Medford.  We stopped in to empty our tanks.  The desk staff were friendly and helpful.   For 8 bucks we were able to dump, rinse and fill up our fresh water (Two different…

Surprising attraction this year

This lake is empty now (2021) and it’s a nice surprise to cross the barren lake bottom to see many different terrains. Would be a nice discovery trip for kids finding lake bottom treasures. There are many active bugs here too, for the entomologist in you. It’s a well maintained and healthy forest…

Clean bathrooms

The spot I was in was small and nestled in a grove of aspen trees. The bear locker was well maintained and the fire ring was double walled. There were flush toilets with working lights and the tent pad was level.

Its a short drive to some great hikes, but the campground itself was too busy and…

Not dispersed!

We didn't actually stay here. We just want people who filter the app for dispersed camping to know that this is NOT dispersed.

Cheap campground near shasta

There are 14 camp grounds. About 7/8 have bear bins. There is no water right now because the spring/well is dried up)-: there are fire rings on about 1/2 the camp cites. Bathrooms are close but, kinda gross. Nice shade and trees to slack line. No camp host so but fire wood and in town. Very close…

Nice camp ground on water

Walking distance to the water. Lots of obsidian with just a short walk. Very beautiful and secluded. Not many people and camp spots are located very far apart. Highly recommend. Nice star viewing.

Beautiful Area!

We were headed to this campground but the last 1/3 mile was blocked by gate and snow covered road so we ended up staying in the large parking area which was actually not bad and we stayed 3 nights.  Website indicates campground is temporarily closed.

Really Lost

The location of this RV Park was beautiful, but was extremely crowded and hard to get around on RV. They lacked customer service ask around, and even though wifi offered was offered as a service that we never were able to connect to. Called the owners on the after hours phone line as directed…

Beautiful and secluded, challenging access to redwoods national park

This campsite is in a big stand of redwoods, which are beautiful and keep it cool, but not cold. There was only one other party there when I stayed, plus the campground hosts who were extremely kind and helpful. The drive in through Six Rivers National Forest was stunning with winding roads along a…

Friendly, fast service. Nice park!

Greg took care of us and was friendly and personable. There’s a convenience store and the little town is super close and convenient. Nothing fancy schmancy, but roomy and woodsy, and convenient for our drive down California. :) highly recommend!

Quirky Camping 🏕

This is a great place to stop as you’re going through Ashland. The field for tents is pretty large so you can set up on flat ground and have your own space. The hot springs are great for relaxing and pretty expensive ($7). As we were leaving I notice an electric outlet for the tenters which…

Fabulous but small campground

Nice little campground tucked up on the mountain that I stayed at for 3 nights. It has two pit toilets that were still open as of 10/20, little smelly but always stocked. There’s about 3 camp spots you can pull up to with nice fire pits and tables. Then there’s about 6 spots that are meant for…
