Thousand Trails Palm Springs

It's a decent facility, but huge and very tight and made to accommodate huge rigs but I did just fine in my 23 footer, its mainly snow birds spend the winter here. Which is kinda crazy with the 10 freeway going non stop and the train every 20 minutes non stop, and with the rigs packed like sardines the view is nothing unless you look y Up and see palmtrees forever. Staying here cause it's a 1000 trails and it's free and going to bike ride all weekend around town, but I would NEVER pay for this.

Thousand Trails Palm Springs offers a great pool and hot tub area with a lively, mixed-age crowd—perfect if you’re in your 30s and looking for variety. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are well-maintained, and the location is unbeatable for exploring Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, conveniently situated right off the highway. However, the park is busy and crowded, with plenty of palm trees and tight spots that can be tricky for larger rigs. Electrical maintenance during our stay further limited site availability, adding to the congestion. Despite the challenges, the proximity to local attractions makes it a convenient option.

Make sure you have your registration and insurance handy when you arrive.

Yes it's not the easiest to park but it's also not that bad. 45ft toy hauler and we didn't have any issues. Great location, great weather, sites are close but we found everyone to be friendly. No issues with starlink and loved the heated pool in January! Will be back

We got there and were told to just find a spot. We started to back into a spot and began hooking up but realized the power isn’t working. We check the other spaces around us they didn’t have power either. It was so frustrating that I called the office and they came out to fix the problem. In the process they told us that our trailer had to be at a 45 degree angle and our truck had to be parked on the left of our trailer not the right. Such a hassle to do anything and such strict rules for a facility that is run down. Luckily we were only staying the night. Would never book this place again.

Nice place to chill out

The campsites are close together and parking can be tricky. But if you take your time you won’t be disappointed. It’s beautiful, peaceful and close to nature and/or shopping. Best of both worlds.

It’s a very nice park we just don’t like that ours and others bikes have been stolen straight out of the middle of campsites

I think this park is about as great as it can be; people are very nice and welcoming and facilities seem well taken care of. However, camp sites themselves are not particularly maintained, and are fairly small. There's a LOT of sites, though, so if you can manage to not have neighbors then the size of the site is less noticeable. Back of the park is lined up against warehouses, and front of the park is RIGHT on the freeway. Even being on the opposite end of the park, you can still hear the freeway and the train throughout the night. Also, there are tons of annoyingly bright street lights throughout the park, so don't expect it be dark at night. Very disappointing that wood fires are not allowed.

We have stayed here multiple times and aside from the sand it’s great. We love the staff and the pool area is also very nice. The spots are pretty tight but you’ll be fine if you take your time.

We only reserved a week at this park and we sure wish we booked longer! There are beautiful palm trees all up and down this park. Nice heated pool. Great staff!

We love coming to this park but parking can be a bear. The palm trees and strange angles make it it difficult to get in. Definitely be sure to arrive during daylight hours if it’s your first time here.

A well managed, well-kept park. Plenty of 50-amp sites, which usually means BIG rigs, are all back-in. The mature date palms and tight sites makes parking and manuevering diffecult for big rigs. Very lively community; lots of people out, kid playing. Proximity to Interstate 10 and railroad tracks makes it a bit noisy. But, it's NOT too bad. Plenty of TV stations along with 5G cell service. It's not in the rules so, I believe I'm allowed to wash my rig.

The pool & hot tub is the best part of this park. Getting in and getting out if you have a 40ft+ is tricky. Sharp corners, palm trees at every site. 30ampers in the 50ampers and vice-versa. No real organization, but it is a first come first serve camp. Sand....sand and more sand! Bring a vacuum & broom with you as every site is beach sand.

We stayed for a couple of nights and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Full hook up sites, pull through and back on. I will be back!

This is a great location if you are a Thousand trails member well worth it. If laying nightly defiantly better options for nightly rates. This is a very popular park and they do have stricter rules than other TT parks. The staff have always been friendly and easy going. The area park is next to I10 and does have lots of road noise, also a good amount of riff raff and homeless near by. The park does keep security tight as a precaution. Park is covered with palm trees and a few citrus trees you can pick from. Lots of stuff to do/see in surrounding areas. Would recommend if you are a TT member. Park is seasonal and not open year round.

I love that almost every spot is a pull through except Section C, with full hookups. And the spots are big enough for 2 additional vehicles. I got a great spot by the toilet/shower/laundry. Laundry is done by quarters or the app PatRange. Propane available, too, as is internet through Jaba, which was pretty much worthless. I paid $35 for a month of 10mbps, and running a speed test, it couldn’t even find a server. My cell phone is faster, so save you’re money. If you’re into golf this is the spot. Courses everywhere. Plus every store you can think of is close by. Rangers were more strict then other TT parks, but no biggie if it keeps the place safer. I got unlucky and got stuck in a few windy days, where gusts were in the 60’s, so took the awning down. The wind pretty much stopped, and I’ll use the awning, but bring it in at night. Why take a chance.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice pool limited to 14 people at a time and you have to book your pool time at the office in the morning between 8-10. Spots on the east side have 50 and 30 amp and most are quite large. Clean laundry area, dog bark and a clubhouse with activities for the kids. Location is close to food and activities. The only downside is the noise from the freeway, train and airport. And the WiFi is an extra charge and doesn’t work well at all.

Super convenient park for exploring Palm Springs. There is a pool, laundry facilities, family lodge, and a camp store. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the sites are super super close together. We were there the weekend before Easter and they did an Easter Egg hunt so that was super fun :)

We got in and checking in was very thorough! We headed to the pull through 30amp sites which are all to the left. Parked in end spot of the first row after the pool in tight spot( palm trees are close) and electric wasn’t working. This side is only one way streets so pulled out and headed to the right side of property which is all 50amp spots that are back in only. After two rounds around outer two lanes we found a good spot close restrooms. Bathroom are very clean, there’s great activities and Veterans Day event near city were awesome. We spent a lot time at pool which was awesome for us Northerners as that never happens in November. We love Palm Springs!

Great campground. Close to many attractions.

Parking big rig between the palm trees can be a challenge.
