This was an excellent urban campground. It's very compact and depending on your site you may need to coordinate pulling in and out with neighbor sites. Very clean, very nice and helpful staff. It's right in the city - near to the beach and zoo (biking distance for us). Only flaw is it's right…
The spaces between RVs are too tight. It feels you almost look into the others van. No security and no management on site. Everyone can just come in,no gates. Nothing to do there. Nothing happened but I didn't like it. Its ok to stay overnight and move on.
Simple park, with lots of green to run, playground, few mins drive to the beach($10 entry fee), space between RVs and a table. I like it. Swimming pool clean, showers fantastic. Clean toilets. Missing a hairdryer though.
We live about two hours away and couldn’t believe we hadn’t heard about this spot before. We came on a monday and the crowds had just left so we had most of the site to ourselves. The hosts were generous and offered to see us wood but there was plenty of wood from the previous campers (plus we had…
Neat and clean campsite. They have pay showers which are decent. Less than 1/2 mile walk to the beach. Bike or hiking trails.
This campground is in a very cool location. You can walk straight out to the beach. There’s a monarch Grove right next to you. And it’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Pismo beach Downtown and the Pier where you’ll find all of the main attractions in the area.
Most of the campsites have little to no…
It was pretty busy and bustling when we stayed, but definitely a cozy spot. Great hikes nearby and the beach is just a short walk away! We saw lots of cute animals during our stay. The campsite pass also gets you free parking at pretty much any beach along the PCH.
We started here in July of 2020. Campsite is well maintained, shop is well stocked and showers and restrooms modern and clean. Good facilities and helpful staff. Close to local wineries and good hiking. Went with older family and the dog. Definitely worth a return visit
We loved this campground destination! Out of all of our trips so far (12) this is our favorite! Let’s start with the drive - it’s a long windy road to get up to the campground. One lane, two way street but it’s very doable! You pass the nondescript Neverland Ranch too. Beautiful drive to the…

If you are looking for a campground with horseback riding opportunities, this is the campground for you. Remote, mountain location. Almost no cell coverage, no restaurants or services nearby.
Such an awesome unique space! Looks to be an old summer camp that is recently acquired to be a campground/outdoor event space. Amanda, the owner, is extremely sweet and accommodating. There is hookups for rigs, I saw two vans and a smaller/mid-sized SUV. They also have small private cabins to rent…
Very clean with great customer service.
Easy access to Santa Barbara too.
Was able to call and snag a last minute two day Jalama site on the way south. It’s been 30 years since I’ve been there and it’s way better than I remembered. Amazing 🌅 sunsets, great beach for surfing or just a nice long walk. No phone service but the camp Wireless was actually pretty decent. Was…

This is one of the few beaches you can drive on in CA. Come prepared with 4WD. Ride ATVs on the dunes and camp on the beach. Lots of trash and always windy.
This campsite with its gorgeous Manzanita Trees and forestry landscapes left us feeling at peace with nature. It was quiet and felt like we were a million miles from home ( we live 2 hrs away) I highly recommend this site and the hosts are fabulous.
