We love going to lake cachuma! It’s most fun early spring when it’s not too hot since you can’t swim in the lake but boat rentals are cheap and fun. Bathrooms and showers are always very clean! Weekdays are best as I hear weekends can be crazy
My family has been camping here for 50+ years... should say enough! Best camping trip (with family, friends, solo, whatever!) you’ll have, safe area, very accessible. Bathrooms have power outlets, token-powered hot showers, and super close to town. Make sure you pack your food away at night....…
We love Ocean Mesa! From check in to poolside, the staff is always on top of it. This campground is pristine. You can tell how much the staff cares for their grounds and customers. We had so much fun that we want to make it an annual tradition. Can’t wait to come back here!
The campsites are too close together. Beach access is across the hwy and not the safest to get too.
Easy check-in experience. You can walk off the property and directly into the sand dunes. Multiple bathroom and dumpster locations. Clean and warm showers available during the day.
Great place to rv camp. Pretty cheap considering your camping right by the water. Can get windy at times and weekends/ holidays get super crowded. The dunes are fun if you have a motor vehicle/ATV. Downfall there’s no dump station but you can call a company to empty your tanks( for a cost)
Visited this place several times and each time was a fun and relaxing experience. The place provided wonderful views of the lake, ample grounds for recreation and facilities were clean and well kept. Went there with family and friends several times and will actually visit again this September.

Basic but nice. Five stars for closeness to Yosemite. Small campground but only one other campsite was taken when we there. First come first served. We stayed only one night but would have stayed longer had we not already reserved a site at another campground nearby (which was overpriced for a…
Pros: The beach here is heaven, it doesn’t get any better in a campground. There is a great store and cafe perfect for burgers and whatever you forgot to bring.
Cons: This campground has been taken over by row after row of enormous RVs. Most about 45’ plus with slides and generators that run a…
Very Friendly,And Clean. You can surely see God's Creation
Nice spot, sites are well spaced, FHU spots have concrete pads.
Lots of tent/group sites available, tent sites are roomy many with great shade.
Large disc golf course, well stocked general store, gas station (no diesel) boat rentals.
No body contact is allowed with the lake.
Every time I have gone I was there by myself or with friends. You can hunt fish hike horse back riding and wake up to the sound of birds. I have seen bears and mountain lions so be prepared for that. Never been attacked by them. Bring your own water.
We taught several youth camping skills here. Lots of hiking and just a beautiful place. I heard that it's closed now but hopefully it is still open. Would love to camp there again.
This is a pricey rv park, but great location and very busy. It is competitive with the others around and think it was the best one in the area. There are over 400 sites and so you are very, very close to your neighbor and tight parking at your rv, but the grounds are kept very nice and there are…
Lake is beautiful. Some lots are big if you stay away from hookups. Only con is there is no body contact in the lake. Only fishing and boating
