Horrible

This KOA was horrible. It was unkempt, the grass was dead, no gravel, no shade and the camp was set up so your camper was in the sun all day. Also, had friends who stayed in a cabin which had roaches. The bathroom was CO-ED - but let me explain. When I say co-ed, I mean a single room with showers…

Free is free

Didn’t actually camp here. Was planning a group camping trip and wanted to scout the place out before hand. Thought BLM land maybe there was a good spot for group of 5/6 vehicles. Camping looked ok but not for groups. Went on Saturday late morning and still 2 sites available. Sites are just a slip…

Meh.....

I’ll start with the positive. The staff was incredibly nice and the sites were level left to right. The park is a couple swings in a sand pit, there seems to be a lot of permanent residents, the water supply in each site is topped with a sprinkler to water the grass in the sites. We stayed 2…

Campground

Small but spacious campground...only 6 sites, so get there early. Free BLM campground. Unfortunately some are disrespecting this beautiful place...see photos. The road coming from King City is narrow and pot holed...not for extra large RV’s. Love this place.

Quiet and secluded

Clean and well kept. Level ground all be it hard and difficult to get stakes in. I would return if ever in the area. Sites are well spaced and dead quiet at night. (No cell service with Verizon)

It's a place to stay.

Friendly staff, well kept grounds, solid amenities. Many long term guests, a few of which were a bit noisy. I stayed here in a pinch in one of the tent sites. It's a grass patch in the middle of an RV park. I didn't expect more. I might stay again in a pinch, but I'd probably just get a cheap motel…

Unforgettable!

Fresh Air (despite being surrounded by bad air on all sides) + Nature (deer, quails, turkeys, coyotes in one night) + Dark New Moon Skies means Bright Stars with Clear View of the Milky Way + Safe (Popular with Campers but well distanced from one another) + a Clean Toilet that mysteriously doesn’t…

Great views and awesome hikes

This place is great. If you love hiking this place has awesome views and lots of wildlife. Be careful while hiking we came across a rattle snake. Specially during hot summers they are definitely out more. We also came across some bird eggs which was awesome to see.

Little Piece of Heaven off of Highway 5

If you’re doing the long drive from the Bay Area to LA, a nice place to stay is Mercey Hot Springs.  It takes about 20 minutes to get there from the freeway and is in the middle of nowhere.  Camping is $50 per person, but it gives you access to the pool and the hot tubs.  There are both clothing…

Good Base Camp for Sequoia

This KOA is a good stopover for people on there way to Yosemite or Sequoia National Park. There's not much around the campsite except for homes but the place has all you need. There's a pool but it's closed from Oct to May.

Nice play to stay

We stayed here for a week over the 4th of July. We planned on spending most of that week in the Sequoias and King’s Canyon, a little disappointing to find that it is quite a drive to get to the parks. The name is deceiving but our bad for not researching more before booking. The pool was nice and…

Stepped in to a different world!

This by far is my favorite one! Plenty of options and good with kids too. They all have the events close to the park entrance. Three Rivers is about 5 miles away, i was blown away with this lake by the foothills but it really feels like a lake on a mountaintop! Its not as clear as Lake Tahoe but…

Family campground

A bit older but quiet. Good for night stay. Not near Sequoia but very convenient to freeway. Not much food stores nearby.

Good place to stay

I’ll start with the negatives: you can hear traffic all night because it is located in an industrial area and the showers are not hot. It is close to the Sequoia NP which is warm in the summer so the pool at this campground was refreshing.
