Boondocking at its best

La Posa BLM has several entrances and is massive. It makes reviews tough on this because it depends which area you are in. I’m am reviewing Tyson Wash and South.

I do not recommend Tyson Wash for large RVs. They are there, but there are areas where the ground is deceptively soft. We got our 38ft…

Very accessible

I'm here in the height of snowbird season and the area is pretty empty, although the friendly camp host said there are hundreds en route, a women's camp group, ham radio operator group, and some other group whom I've forgotten. Nothing too spectacular for desert camping, mostly flat, a few dry…

Almost Heaven

Found a great private spot on Dome Rock Rd. Beautiful views all around and plenty of room, so far.

Tent camping

Living in a tent is a challenge, but it pushes me and bring out my basic survival instincts. Especially during the cold nights. But with preparation (be prepared as taught in boy scouts) and adapting to changing circumstances, it becomes a normal reality. Solar panel, 12v 100ah deep cycle battery …

Nice free camping

It’s in a burned area, and there’s not too much to see, but it’s close to the freeway while still feeling remote!

Nice quiet place

Stayed for 2 nights. Quiet for a park this size. Lots of long term tenants. The wifi is awesome. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathhouse is clean. Showers are lukewarm after the first 30 seconds, which is the only drawback other than the bathhouse and laundry are on the other side of the park…

Easy Stop over

Decent county park outside of Blythe. We used it for on night to get to Joshua Tree. We needed showers. Showers were warm and clean.

First Quartzsite experience was a winner!

Arrived in late October on the last leg of our trip from Montana to Yuma. Stopped at the “fee campground” and after we told they we were only staying one night they suggested the “no fee” area called Roadrunner. Proceeded to register with Ed (great guy) at Roadrunner and found the area excellent…

Easy camping off I-10

This site was really easy to find and only 3 minutes off I-10. The road in wasn't too bad, a little bumpy but my sedan went slow and found a spot.

Not sure how many spots there are. Despite the other reviews it seems like I'm the only one camping here (although it's raining).

From my site you…

Probably one of my favorite parks

This place is cracking!!! Cool vibes, nice people, spotless pool, grass everywhere, right on the river, full hook ups, they have a basketball court, arcade type thing for the kids and adults alike. Spotless and right on the water. I really appreciated the upkeep of this place. Makes being in the…

Right on the River

A lovely county campground and picnic area on the Colorado. Dry sites are closest to the water. Super clear restrooms and showers. Dry sites have picnic tables, BBQ grills, but no fire pit. Lots of green grass. Large open grassy area with day picnic sites. RV sites are separated from dry sites.…

Very Large14 day limit BLM

This is one five of 14 Day LVTA camping areas in the Quartzsite vicinity.

It was a very large site that had entrances on both sides of the road that each had their own host. Lots of flat open spaces. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management(BLM). BLM lands have special rules, fees(…

Nice area, but to many campers for me.

This is a very nice long term (14 day) campsite, very close to the highway noise, and I prefer some place less crowded and quieter. Very easy access to and from the freeway. I would definitely consider this place for a stopover when traveling through and needing a rest.

Looks like there was a recent fire here

Camping along the river is great, but the main dispersed camping area looked as if there was a fire there recently. Some campers there, but lots of burnt trees and ash.

I did find a beautiful spot along the river, and a nice clear path to the river. The sounds of the river reached my RV and was so…
