Great FREE area

I spent 2 weeks here and loved it. I was a little close to the road,so there was road noise during the day. Quiet at night. How close your neighbors are depends upon where you park.

LTVA Plomosa Rd

I have stayed at this location a few days to 2 week as I travel here and there between CA and other places in AZ. I will say the majority of campers keep there campsites very nicely. A few could do better. Overall, I enjoy the friendly likeminded folks and the beautiful weather! Thank goodness the BLM shares these places with the people! Let’s be supportive and keep it going✌️

Plamosa Road Dispersed

So here during the Rock and Gem festival so it may not be representative of all times. Not too crowded but a little road noise at night if you are close to plamosa

OK, but not for me.

This is one five of 14 Day LVTA camping areas in the Quartzsite vicinity. It has a host on site. Lots of flat open spaces. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management(BLM). BLM lands have special rules, fees ( sometimes none) and can be popular with boon-docking. I only had a look around,. It did seem smaller and more densely populated than the other areas. I decided to continue on up the road and ended up staying in open BLM area just beyond Quinn pass. I have T-mobile service and phone was good, but data was painfully slow.

Sunsets are gorgeous

Driving out watch out for washes/dips. It’s very level solids ground with some rock fire pits scattered around. Very quiet, I have heard a few coyotes this morning. Free BLM land that you can stay up to 14 days. Come prepared and take your trash out when you leave.

Nice, convenient, easy camping

I camped here in late November (not during any festival or anything) so this place was very nice and roomy with great cell service, and a quick and easy drive in - just a few minutes from town. Zero hassle. Very rocky if you’re tent camping but other than that, no problems.

Back here just after the rock show

Been having a tough time finding a good spot with cell service so I can work. Quartzsite is so great Nice and quiet, private and strong cell service. Plus gorgeous night skies. I love it here

I can see why Quartzsite is so popular!

All along Plomosa road there are turn offs you can park in. It's pretty rocky, so go slow, but I managed to find a semi private spot nestled behind some trees. Mostly quiet, though occasionally heard coyotes. Only 6 miles from town, mostly gas stations and RV campsites, but there was some cool little shops across from the Pilot gas station. Pretty dark night sky, especially considering how close it is to town.
