Great stopover

Park is clean and neat and offers a great view of the Tucumcari Mountain. Three retired brothers own it and it is well kept. It has several horse corrals and a barn with two stalls and pens. There is a small dog park (dirt/gravel) The park is a large gravel lot with level, marked sites offering…

Nice spot for short stays!

We stayed for one night and this place fit perfectly. Had the basic amenities, full hookups and since many spaces were open, we had plenty of room between guests. Very quiet and easy to pull into our site. Near a restaurant for dinner and gas fill-up before leaving the area. Great water pressure!

Good for 1 night

We rolled in late at night, exhausted from a day on the road. We had a pull thru site. The gravel pads had potholes and our slide was so close to touching our neighbors slide. Pool is closed. Wouldn’t stay here for more than 1 night.

Good pit stop.$30 dump/shower/fuel up

On the 40, easy access from Interstate, fuel up, refill water tanks, dump tanks, empty trash, plug in long enough to shower and then easy to keep going. $30 glad it was available. It was very hot outside though, wouldn’t want to sleep here in June.

Nice view, inconsistent amps

Ute Lake campground had nice large pull through sites, a shaded picnic area, and nice views of the lake. The playground was very nice and shaded. We were disappointed that the electrical hookups did not provide consistent output. We were unable to run our AC while the refrigerator was on, and the…

Nice, but short.

We pulled in without a reservation since we are on vacation. They were rude about not calling ahead and would not honor discounts. They did have a spot and it was a quiet evening. Told to call before 11am to stay a second night. When we did so, we were told, “I’m not sure about that. I’ll call you…

Clean sites and restrooms. Laundry facilities. Propane. AND they have a grill and will deliver dinner and breakfast! All pull through sites. A few trees. Nice view of Caprock mountain! This KOA has everything!

Glad It was Just an Overnighter

This campground (CG) was easy to find and enter. Check in was a simple process. However, the person checking us in was rude, lectured on rules versus simply telling us, and charged us $2 for being 50 minutes early. Our bad on being early as we didn’t realize the time change to Mountain time was so…

Nice place super noisy

Little confusing to find location, but finally got to our spot and got settled. Many little boys showing off their loud trucks. Too bad!

Nice lake and nice facilities but super noisy. Electric and water at our site in Zia loop. Good price. Dump station available. Good cell service for both…

Good overnight stop

Spent one night here in mid may. Pretty nice, good clean bathouse. Sites are close but seems everyone was just staying one night. Everything worked including cable. Has semi covered picnic tables that looked good. They were actually pouring concrete pads in a new addition but existing pads are…

Beaver cove

I stayed in Beaver Cove. There are 4 campsites with a vault toilet, and a water spiket. Each site has a cement picnic table under a shelter. The ground is pebbles. A good spot for one night

Nice quiet, open park and campgrounds near the lake

There are several separate CGs at Ute Lake. We stayed in Logan CG site 23, which was nearly perfectly level, for 5 days. There is no dump station at the Logan CG, the only dump station is near the main office, several miles back down the road. The restrooms were closed while we were here- not sure…

Easy Overnight Stay

No frills gravel and dirt campground with all pull-through, full hook-up sites. You don’t have to unhook unless you want to. It’s just off I-40 and next to a Flying J. It’s perfect for an overnight stop but wouldn’t stay more than two. If you want to unhook you can drive into Tucumcari and see some…

Great for a 1 night stay

We pulled in last night and the check in was fast and easy. This is a journey KOA, so it’s not much in the way of amenities. That being said, this is one of the better “Journey KOA’s” we’ve stayed at. It’s got a descent little park for the kids, bathrooms, showers, a laundry mat and a dog park for…
