Oasis State Park — Oasis State State Park

    Quiet and clean

Easy place to get to and most of the campsites were pull through with electric and water. Not too far from Potales that has groceries and such. Also has a lake where you can fish and a couple of little hiking trails. Paid $18 for one night.

    Clovis RV Ranch

    Convenient, Friendly Camping

The campground changed names to Clovis RV Ranch. Definitely check the address for this location. I stopped here overnight camping in my car. The host was friendly and had reserved me a spot with some shade. They only have RV sites with electricity so I paid full price. The bathrooms/showers were private and clean. The campground was nice and quiet during my one-night stay. Very convenient off the main highway.

Well Laid Out Campground -Indian Grass

Indian Grass CG on Oasis SP in New Mexico: (Scale 1- bad, 5-Very good

(71 yr olds in 17’ trailer.)

Overall Rating: 5 for the excellent campground layout Price 2024: $14 for electric, $10 for non-electric Security: No gates. Usage during visit: 40%. I heard this was recently packed due to a nearby fishing tournament. Site Privacy: No vegetation offering privacy. However, the excellent layout gives each site the best privacy that can be offered in a open grassland setting Site Spacing: Great Pad surface: Gravel Reservations: There are ff sites and reservation only sites. Reservation only sites are well marked. Reservations can be made at the campground for the reservation sites if they are open by getting on line. To avoid the $4 reservation fee for just one night and seeing ahead of time there were plenty of reservation only sites available we took an ff site upon arrival. Campground Noise: Quiet. Outside Road Noise: None Through Traffic in campground: None Electric Hookup: Yes. I think the I dian Grass loop is all electric. Sewer Hookup: No Dump Station: Yes Potable Water Available: At site Bathroom: Flush toilets. Newer Showers: Timer does only allows for short duration water flow. Inconvenient and being cold weather with only moderately warm water the shower experience was ‘dampened’. Pull Throughs: Many Cell Service (AT&T): 2 bars Setting: Prairie view Recent Weather: unseasonably (I am told) cold. Insects: None Host: On-site. Rig Size: Large rigs can be accommodated. Sites: 29 is the absolute best. All are great. 24-29 offer the deepest views into the prairie.I anticipate these will offer the best sunrises.

Oasis State Park — Oasis State State Park

Very nice and well maintained park

Looks like there has been some significant investments in the park. New bathrooms and showers, the path around the lake is in great shape and even on this cool and windy day, there were a lot of people fishing. The electric spots are off from the main park a bit but we'll laid out with space between them. Would. Be very exposed in the summer without nearly enough shade but for now, works great. Not much to do except fish as the trails are pretty short and very sandy.

    It’s a real oasis!

Wonderful, small campground in one of New Mexico’s State Parks. You can fish in the Oasis Pond, kids can play at the playground at this secluded spot. Nice campsites, will fit the larger RVs, water and electric at most sites. Great price, I’d stay here again. Great dark sky for stargazing and photography! Watch your pets, a pack of coyotes came through camp the night I stayed there.

    Hot, but nice

Drove all day to get here. Found reservations were easily made, so we spent the night...well we're preparing. Covered table and nice parking pads. Bathroom is right across the street. It is hot, but it is July. Overall, not the best place I've ever stayed, but I can see myself staying here again.

    Great place!

This place was great, clean camp grounds and level spots! The couple running it were super friendly. They have propane if you need it. We stayed one night.

    Clovis RV Park

    Second time staying here

As their signs say “the quiet side of town.” Misty at the front desk was great! $39 for full hookup. They do have those nasty little “goat heads” this time of year. Shoes are a must. Also, apparently their is a second park in Clovis with a similar name. Clovis RV ranch or something like it

    Excellent stop over

What a great and underrated campground. We had a pull through site with power and water. The sunset was incredible. We stayed for just one night to get some rest and for the price, you can’t beat it.

    Clovis RV Ranch

    Quaint little camp ground.

Staff is very friendly. They are changing ownership as of 6/22/22. Staying here for work and is very quite facilities are clean. Not much grass in a lot of the spaces and water pressure is a little weak but besides that excellent place to stay. Good WIFI and cell coverage plus some good places to eat close by.

    Nice place for a stop

Very happy with the facility here. Clean shower/restroom.

Not sure about other amenities because of weather, but the little store had Blue Bell ice cream!

Oasis State Park — Oasis State State Park

    1st road-trip!

You must make reservations online! There is no one at office building for check in or questions. We had our suv with our roof top tent which fit the site fine. Our site was a pull through with picnic table and pavilion, water, electric and a charcoal grill which you could not use. NO FIRES were aloud. You were aloud to use portable propane stoves. The site seemed to be small but clean. Although the park it’s self, was not impressing. Not much to do nor see. The bathroom and shower facilities seemed newly built and they were clean, the weird thing was they did not provide hand soap which I didn’t like. Coyotes were howling at night. We saw a lot of deer. It was a okay place to stay for one night but probably wouldn’t return in the future.

    Nice little getaway

Sites are spaced well, nice place to watch the Sunset, quiet area. Facilities look fairly new and well maintained. Will definitely camp here again.

30amp and water hookup (currently a warning for high nitrates in the drinking water)

Great Folks that run the place

Reserved a spot 4 months out. Called then the day before. We were set! Full hook ups, away from highway noise. Laundry and Shower facilities very clean! It’s a small park, but Mark takes care of his guests.

    Cute RV Park, Nice Staff

Stopped by to visit some family that work at the base, definitely the nicest park in town. There's a nice loop that goes around a pond perfect for walking pups, about a 0.5 mi loop total and you can get to it from the back of the park. Watch out for baby bunnies and Prarie dogs if you have a pup!

Good place to stop for the night

Stopped overnight on the way to Another campsite in Colorado. The site I stayed at was not great for tent camping as the ground was gravel-based. Not much to look at other than a very nice large man-made pond. It did look like there was some fishing to be had and there were clean bathrooms, etc. Not someplace I’d stay for an extended period of time.

    Quiet, good location

On the border of NM and TX, there are few camping options. I was traveling from Santa Fe to Austin and wanted a quiet, safe spot for the night. Nice campsites, some with hook-ups and enclosed shelters. Also nice bathrooms, with showers. Lots of interesting birds, if you’re a birder and a mile away from Blackwater Draw, a major archeological site. I’d definitely stop again if I’m in the area.
