What a beautiful place!

I stayed for two days at these campgrounds. There are spots you can reserve online and then if you go up there hill there are free first come, first serve spots with shelters. It was relatively quiet, and there is a cutoff time for generators for the RVs. The creek and the hiking paths are pretty…

Great spot to stop for a night!

Stayed here for a night on our way back to the East Coast. Very conveniently located off I-40. For $10, it’s definitely worth it! Sites are clean as well as the bathrooms. Water is available, but not at every site. Cold showers are available for free at the State Park (electric sites reservations…

Nice but dusty and kinda tight spaces.

Place was nice and rustic. Only issue we had was we stayed for 5 nights and the park was not full at all but they kept putting 1 nite Rv's by us. FYI, when calling for reservation, request to be in back or at least away from 1 night stay people, if that's what you desire. No issues with the staff.…

Objectively Awful

The campground is so close to the highway, we would be just as well rested if we slept in the gravel under an overpass on I40.

The tent area was overgrown and full of burrs.

The bathroom was filthy.

If I could award negative stars I would.

Good overnight, needs a facelift

This campground is just outside Santa Rosa. It accepts Sams, military discount. Old but clean and serviceable. Nice pool, on site restaurant serves good food. Many drive through site with electric and water. Central dump station. Small dog park.

Far better than we expected

This is an awesome campsite if you chose the right location. Every site is booked online and comes with an adobe-style pergola thing with a picnic table. All of the sites that you book online are pretty good. Although, what a lot of people don't know is that there are first come first serve free…

Fantastic experience

Spacious site with a very nice shelter. Creek and canyon were my backyard! Very cool trails, friendly staff. The nearby town of the same name has limited service offerings, but this park was a wonderfully pleasant experience on a meandering road trip from TN to UT.

Great views

Pulled in after a long day drive from Denver. Campground was full but site host told us there was a now show last night for a two day reservation and we could use that site - nice people. Our site has 30 amp electric and water; there is a dump station on site. Cost was $14/night. Each site has an…

Had to leave

This is a nice state park, and seems to be a favorite of the locals. The campsites on the north side are VERY close together and we had 2 or 3 local families with kids and dogs surrounding us. We went to a local hotel.

State park goegeous and clean!

Great find driving through NM. $10 self pay state park and plenty of spots for drive up on a Friday. Beautiful views from nearly every campsite, sites spread apart with tables and awnings over each table. A clean lake, clean pristine bathrooms and millions of stars that will take your breath away.…

No room, told we couldn’t camp

Bummed when we pulled up and were told we couldn’t tent camp. Found a better place up the road near the lake.

Nice Campground with some age

I did enjoy staying in this Campground on the North end. Nice picnic tables with protection, water at each site, trash cans nearby, and vault toilets. The parking could be refreshed but the scenery is excellent. I would have preferred site 38N
