Goose Bay - MT

We stayed the first and last nights in the free sites above the marina/campground. It’s quite pretty around Canyon Ferry Lake, and being able to stay for free is great.

We stayed a night in the main campground to dump, charge, and fill. Strong power, good water, and quiet. It’s a good spot. No…

Views for miles

4 star rating is only due to no services and vault toilets (spotless). We had great AT&T cell service. The third Saturday in September and maybe half the sites were filled. Limited shade. People were friendly. What we could see, the views were amazing.. Unfortunately, the smoke obscured…

Great overnight spot!

Great spot near Glacier National Park, quick to get to! Dog friendly, cabins and fun little round (yurt-like) metal buildings to stay in too! Plus over sized lawn chess!

Great place to avoid summer heat

I stayed there for a few weeks when the temperature is down in the valley started to get into the upper 90s and near 100. It was a good 10° cooler at this campsite than down in the valleys. You sit right below the continental divide with good access to the continental divide trail. The other big…

Great campground for lake and ATV riding!

We stayed here for 4 nights over 4th of July weekend. The camp hosts make rounds quite often, so rules are followed pretty closely. We took ATVs and rode them to a trailhead that starts just across the highway from the campsite. Beautiful trails and a lot of them! We had campsites #1-6 and even…

  • Beautiful trail just a few miles from the campground up Hellgate Gulch Road
  • Campsite #4. There was plenty of room for a large camper, I only brought my tent.

Great Campground at the end of the road

Kaden Campground is a Helena National Forest Campground just about at the end of the road, the trail head for Blackfeet Meadows Trail is just a short distance past the campground.  Kaden Campground is across the road from the Kaden Cabin which can be reserved.  The campground has 11 sites, all…

Summit campground

This is a campground with nice views. Could also hear the mooing of cows in the distance. There is a little bit of highway noise but it quiets down in the evening.

Dirty and Loud

I hope we just had an off weekend cause it wasn’t a very pleasant stay. There was trash (including used toilet paper) on the grounds. The bathroom was ATROCIOUS and gross (poop smeared on the walls). Teens and young adults came and went frequently throughout the evening and night and were loud…

Horrible Washboard Road…..Otherwise OK

The campground is nice enough, lots of brown grass throughout the park that if irrigated would look fantastic. There is a base rate for your camp spot the an up-charge of $5 a night if you have an electric spot and another $5 a night if your site has electricity. Using the dump station is $10 if…

Great place, loved the deer

We were able to get a site for the night in June only because it was a Thursday night. I was told it books up early for weekends by reservation. We got a tent site (parked in lot, walked to site maybe 50 feet). It was perfect with shade and right next to the water. Many sites had little or no…

A Beautiful Surprise!

A Stunning Surprise! In spite of a loss of large pine trees... and having no personal comparison, for us, this was a surprise. So peaceful and with a gorgeous sunset on a vast horizon. The rocky sloped landscape had a lot of wildflowers and made for a pleasant overnight stop with no expectations.

  • One of the best sunset vistas of the summer. So peaceful.
  • Comet approved.
  • Picture perfect.

Awesome campground in the pines

Many Pines campground lives up to its name, it sits in a area with many pines.  This makes for plenty of privacy in most spots.  Campsites are large and each has a picnic table and fire ring, a few have a BBQ grill  or extra picnic table as well.  Water is available.  Campground has several vault…
