    Gorgeous!!

    Gird Point Campground which is located in the Bitterroot National Forest is gorgeous. I love camping in Montana- I honestly have never had a bad experience camping anywhere in Montana.     • Inside the lookout area. It does come with 2 beds, table and chairs, and stove. Bring your own food, sleeping bags/pads and other basic amenities.
    • Inside the lookout area. Fits 4 people comfortably. Even if it was a tight fit, I wouldn't have minded because the views were definitely worth it.

    Directions

    From Hamilton, Montana, travel east on Highway 38 for about 7 miles. Turn north onto Gird Road/Forest Road 714 and continue for about 13 miles to the Gird Point Lookout Trailhead. The tower is approximately 1/2 mile hike from the parking area.
