Perfect for passing through

We stayed overnight without a reservation. The office was open late and they were very accommodating. We got the last spot, and even though we were a bit too big they told us we could stay. The showers were hot, clean, and private. This is a perfect stop to use the full hookups for a night while…

Nice Spot for a Few Days

Pretty nice spot for a few days. Fire rings (no fires allowed right now), picnic tables, a super cute stream that runs through, nice, level spots, vault toilets, and quiet, gorgeous views. Would definitely stay again.

Convenient for i94 access

Great spot to camp if you’re road tripping and want easy access to i94. Quiet, walking trail, several spots available.

Great place to pull off on a road trip

I've stayed at this site twice now and both have been great experiences. It's rarely full, and the sites are flat and spacious. There is a pond as well as river access. The place is clean and quiet. It is near the interstate, but you don't really notice the sounds. You will hear the train when it…

Friendly host

This camp site is an older campground. The connections were in odd locations for my motorhome. The electric and sewage were at the end of the pull through. The swimming pool is Small but was refreshing on a day when the temp was 109. The best part of this location was the hospitality of the host. …

Wrong Coordinates, easy to look up and find!

10/10 free camp sites. We arrive late in the night but were able to find a spot. Once it was light out we could see how well Mainers the grass was, there were paths to the river, mowed by whomever takes care of this place. Would defiantly stay here again!!

Comfortable and relaxing!

Great place to crash in my tent on my long road trip. Quick hike down to the Yellowstone River where there is great rock picking and it’s the perfect spot to cool off in the middle of a hot Montana summer. The cicadas were pretty loud, but that’s inevitable! Nice, clean showers and bathrooms were a…

Great for a few nights

This was a quiet little spot. Stayed a few days leading up to Memorial Day weekend and had 3 campers come Wednesday and pick a spot then left their camper so they had it for the weekend. There’s 10 spots in the camping area then an additional 2 by the boat launch. Vault toilet was stocked and…

So relaxing & quiet

Stayed 5 nights and it sure was lovely! Right next to the creek/dam, you can fish or play in the water with your dog. The 2 vault toilets were always clean & stocked. Lawn was mowed while here and everyone was respectful of each other’s space. Can’t hear much noise from the highway. There’s two…

Bad

I am adding my review because I want people to know that if you plan on staying at this rv place for long periods at a time I wouldn't recommend it. Came here in the end of August for my husband to go to school for his CDL. We are leaving tomorrow. The flies are absolutely horrible since there is…

Montana FAS campground

Quiet Montana FAS campground along the Yellowstone River. It is part of the extensive network of fishing access sites. Some are free, some aren’t and other FAS have no camping. There is a downloadable pamphlet with info on these facilities. Photo is of the gravel near the boat launch which a short…

Well maintained place for an overnight stop near I94

I think we've been spoiled by all the forested campgrounds we've stayed in. This was a convenient one night stop for us, and we knew what we were getting into just off I94. There's a lot of road noise although it may not bother most of the campers who have large, air conditioned RVs.

On the plus…

  • Sites are long. Electric posts and spigots are between every 2 slots.
  • Tent area, i.e. no hookups. There was a fifth wheel in that area when we were there.
