While you have great views of the lake from just about any site, you also lack any shade or hammock trees here. It looks like the campground is still in long slow recovery from fire mode here. There are lots of little (5’ or less) trees growing on the slope and a few in the center of the two loops,…

This is a campground with nice views. Could also hear the mooing of cows in the distance. There is a little bit of highway noise but it quiets down in the evening.
Nice campground between Philipsburg and Anaconda along hwy 1. Less than 20 sites, it was clean and compact, but still afforded each site some separation from other sites. The trees have been thinned due to the invasive beatle kill, but new trees are growing. Even though you are close to the road,…

Staying at Strawberry lookout cabin in December was a great experience, well worth the 1 mile uphill hike to the cabin. Our Venturing Crew stayed the night after pulling gear in a sled to the top in light snow. Everyone had a great time at the cabin. The cabin has a wood stove and firewood was…

Quiet little campground in the trees. Gravel/dirt washboard road leads to this tranquil wooded getaway. No 4x4 needed, higher ground clearance vehicle will help. Vault toilets and fire rings are throughout the campground. Day use shelter is across from group / family larger site with room for about…

It's a KOA, so if you're looking for large spaces to spread out & enjoy it's not gonna be your cup of tea. However, it's a very nice KOA with extremely helpful and friendly staff, great fried chicken, and easy access to the Butte visitors center & nature trail. We were extremely impressed…
Amazing staff, very friendly!
The sites were fine, but the water hookups were at the front of the sites, so bring extra hose if your city water connection is at the rear of your camper like ours.
The water park is part of a resort next door, so you have to pay extra for that. We were along the…
Nice little campground outside of Philipsburg next to the highway and a creek. There are only 10 sites on the lollipop loop, 6 along the “stick”, all on the creek side, and 4 on the loop. There are a couple extra vehicle parking areas too. Creek side sites are better, but sites 7 and 8 seem to be…

Stop looking for a spot, this is where you want to be. Beautiful spots. Some have 3 bars of 4G Verizon, others none. Peaceful spot.
A Stunning Surprise! In spite of a loss of large pine trees... and having no personal comparison, for us, this was a surprise. So peaceful and with a gorgeous sunset on a vast horizon. The rocky sloped landscape had a lot of wildflowers and made for a pleasant overnight stop with no expectations.
Moose Creek cabin is a nice fairly large cabin. It features a kitchen area, living room and two bedrooms each with two beds. Cabin has electricity but no running water. An outhouse is outside. A nice metal fire ring is available with two picnic tables. Fire wood is supplied during the winter…

Gast stove for cooking, wood stove for heat. Shed full of wood, fire pit and vault toilet. Beware of mice nests, otherwise cabin was great. Hiking trail right by the cabin, even found some huckleberry nearby.
Cozy Cabin near Lincoln. Great for families with small children (be bear aware though). Small secluded lake nearby for relaxed swimming.
Big group use picnic shelter, reservations required. Nice views but not much shade other than the shelter. Have to drive around private campground to access.
Nice quiet secluded area. Multiple trailheads for popular hiking trails near campground (one is in the campground). Creek nearby to cool off in the heat. Camp sites arent hug but enough space to feel comfortable.
