Nice lake, rough road

Great campground for summer. The lake is beautiful and cool. Large boat access area. There is a nice trail through the area, day use and overnight spaces. A little camp store with the basics. Not a lot of shade so make sure to bring sunscreen. Keep an eye out for snakes on the trail. The road is…

The sign says Moose Creek

This is a free USFS campground along the Blackfoot River near Highway 200. The large sites are shaded with pine and cottonwood trees. There was a small but clean vault toilet a short trail away from our campsite. It is far enough from highway 200 to not hear the highway noise. There is a small day…

Simple yet perfect

The campground was closed for the season as we stayed in late September.  That meant free!  No bathrooms or water but it wasn't needed.  Locals loop through the park regularly but it was not bothersome.  Great little burger spot across the street with nice staff.  Fishing is great in these parts!

A little quiet stay

A little over-priced but super cute and fairly dispersed.

Great location with a caveat

Pull up next to the lake. Electric, wood, toilets, noisy boat docking, gnats available. Office super friendly and helpful. Fishing near dam close by.

You're in a zoo!

Rams and deer come right up to your RV. The facility itself is dated but has bathrooms and laundry

Word of caution with this 3 site fishing access for couple of reasons. Stopped there 9/20/20 late afternoon when the wind was blowing very hard out of the north. First caution before I would go back again would make sure I have the chain saw with me. There are couple big half dead cotton wood trees…

Nice especially the view from any of the camping spots.

Sunday 9/20/20 got there early in the morning four campers in the bottom section. One camping out of the vehicle other 3 where tents. One TT and one truck camper on the upper area. One boat fisherman fishing close to shore there was a stiff wind blowing out of the north.

We had a friend stay…

SiteThe sites are first come so if we have choice it would be 6.

Black Sandy State Park

July 20-23, 2019 Will not return. Sites 002 and 021 Electric and water available. Dump station out of order. Flush toilets. In order to use cellular, we had to boost. Dirt roads - windy and dusty. We were packed in like sardines.

This was a breath of fresh area after hours of range land driving. The last 5 miles of the road in is dirt. It is navigable with any size vehicle but slow. The campground was quiet except the sound of the river. Half of the sites are on the riverside but they don't have a direct view of the river.…

Not well maintained.

There is a toilet and that's about it. Everything is overgrown. I would not come back here.

Great place for an overnight!

We stayed one night on our way through the area. It was convenient. The campsites are plentiful and not as close to eachother as others. Bathrooms spotless. After hours check-in was a breeze! Will use again.

Very Quiet

About 10-15min drive off of the highway. Last half is gravel. Three hiking trails nearby. Clean long drop toilet. Cold water. $15.00 per night. No power. Big level lots for trailers. The trailhead gets busy with hikers and horse trailers.

Basic RV park

We decided to not stay here, because we are tent camping this trip. If you have an RV or Trailer, this would be a good stop if you are in Great Falls.
