Great stopover place

Camped for one night between White Sulphur Springs and Glasgow MT. Clean park with plenty of room to space out. Just pull in and pick your spot. Only charge is they accept donations. We'll maintained and used by many as it is also a little rest area off the highway. Grocery store accross the…

Crystal Lake 2017

This would have been a 5 star review, but most of the trees that made this area magical have had to be cut down due to beetle infestation. Lake is gorgeous and crystal clear. Hiking trails to an overlook and the ice cave are marked.

Perfect for an overnight

City park and rodeo arena, first come, first served. This is a great over-nighter spot. We did not unhitch, almost totally level. Arrived at 5:30pm. Plenty of spaces. A few more RVs came in around 6:30pm. Still a few spots available, both electrical and primitive. Flush toilets on-site. Worth the…

Beautiful and rustic

Crystal Lake is a beautiful area, very much worth the drive.  There is a lot of gravel and one lane roads going in with a few sketchy spots where you are looking straight down off the side.  Campground is not kept mowed as well as others we've been too, but really adds to the pristine natural…

Comfortable stay year round

Cabin stays cool in the summer and has wood stove for cold winters. Propane stove makes cooking easy. Creek nearby for water (or campground a few miles up road has well and spring with potable water). Lots of activities nearby rock hounding/fossils, hikes, small waterfall, swimming in creek.

Park close to historic township

Park has good sites. Only a few trees though. Facilities are good. Management is good. Town is very historic. A good staging location to visit the wilderness areas where Elk herds roam in the evening. Great fun!

A delightful refuge.

A very nice small town town campground east of Montana’s front range. Several level pull-through RV sites with electricity. Dumpster and water hydrant near by in the campground. Large new community playground adjacent to the RV sites. Sparsely used in October/November. 14 day limit. We look…

Nice for the week

Stayed here for the week while traveling through the area. They have laundry, showers, bathrooms, WiFi and sites have full hookups. Most people staying were only there for a night or two passing through. They allow dogs and do have a pet area with bags to pick up after your pet. The rv park is…

Great park to get some rest!!

Great small town RV park. $20.00 per night with electric. No sewer or dump station. Water on site but not to RV pads. Level, asphalt pads are all pull-through and long enough for my truck and 32 foot 5th wheel. 50/30 amp hook ups. Park is attached to a rodeo grounds so you might check availability…

Good enough when passing through

We stayed here on a trip out to Glacier NP. If you are just passing through to get from point A-B and don't want to get out into the back country, this campsite really fits the bill.

It's clean, maintained and relatively quiet. As others noted, it's essentially free, donations accepted.

Great spot for sleeping or taking a break

This place is great and it runs off of donations, so make sure to drop some cash into their donation box if you can. Clean bathrooms and plenty of spots to park your car and camp, some with picnic tables even. There is trash and plastic/can recycling. Flush toilets and running water. There’s a…

Nice city park with electric hookups

Quiet small town with a grocery store. Sites are pull through. Pond with fish. Nice playground. Ball fields. Seems fairly new and unutilized. Easy access.

This place is awesome. I wish they had these all over the country. Nice parking, covered picnic tables, Grassy and some shade, nice bathrooms. Free but please donate what you can so they will keep this open for the next time you pass thru.

Camp for free in Lewistown Montana

The Lewistown Kiwanis provide a rest area and free campground to travels on the west end of town next to the airport. This camping area has no fee(they will take your donation to help with upkeep of the site), but does have restrooms with running water, several frost-frees are in the camping area…
