Another swampy Louisiana SP

Almost feel sorry for the park system. All this rain & nowhere for it to go.

All in all it is a pretty nice park with level asphalt pads. Some full hook up, some w&e only. Didn't get to see most of the park as it was closed due to flooding. No cell service at all. Did not try the bath…

Beautiful, but go in the fall

The park is beautiful: trees, swamp, lakes, and bayous. Some sites (28-33 at least) have small piers on the canal for fishing or taking out the kayak. There are multiple boat launches, one in and several near the campgrounds. You can also rent canoes.

Quiet with a Feeling of a Little Privacy

The spot was surrounded by small trees essentially hiding the view of the neighbors. Pretty area with a good hiking trail. Wild pigs hang around, so don’t get close!

Close to LSU

I would suggest BREC Farr Equestrian RV Park if you are interested in being close Baton Rouge or LSU. A typical fairgrounds type camping area. Sites have electric and water. Remote dump site available. Bike path trailhead is there, with extensive pathways on the levee.

Pretty Park

March 30, 2021 Site #65 for three nights. Well maintained park with clean facilities and laundry. (Bring quarters. Nearby Dollar General dispenses them by the roll)
Sites in the circles at end of campground roads offer the most space and privacy with water and electric. Bold Wild hogs came…

A nice state park

The campground is heavily wooded and the campsites are well spaced. We stayed only night but would definitely consider staying here again

Lovely spot, bad road in, expensive for what you get

Fantastic nature wise. Drive in is miserable. With fees, it was $30 per night with additional $6 one-off reservation fee. Few sites have septic. Elec and water fine. Had a great 5 mile walk around the park, and that was the paved roads. WiFi sucks. Cell signals in and out - I would not be doing…

Friendly RV park

We came here to stay after evacuating from hurricane Sally. We stayed 8 days. It’s a nice rv park. The pool is great. The lazy river has a great current, the best I’ve experienced so far, RV campground wise. Due to Covid restrictions, there were limitations and not much going on. Outside of that,…

Lake Fausse Point State Park

March 18-20, 2019 Road to park very rough, mosquitos real bad, no Verizon, trails were flooded & looked like we were camping in a swamp. Showers, flush toilets, free washer & dryer use, electric, & water. Signs said to not dangle your feet at the dock because of the alligators. We went…

One of the best, cleanest campgrounds ever

We stayed in 2016 and it was one of the best and cleanest state park campgrounds we've ever stayed at. Complete with free laundry!

Nice campground

We stayed here this past weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The hiking trails are well maintained and easy to follow! We were able to kayak through a lot of water areas as well! The park rents canoes for people to use if you don’t have your own. We got to experience the Dutch Oven Society, which…

Lake Side Large park

This is a busy weekend park within 2 miles of Morgan City, LA. It sits on the edge of a large freshwater lake and has great views. Many sites appear to be Big Rig Friendly. There are various sections of park to choose from. Easy access to park and paved roads inside park. Includes bathhouses,…

Want to camp soon

Kayaked the loop, it has been very rainy, trying to find a middle ground between dry firewood/ground and not being eaten alive by mosquitoes seems tough, but an overall great place to spend a day!
