Lots of shade Nice big old trees. bathrooms are great air-conditioned, modern with the doors ,clean, plenty of hot water would recommend For RVs and teardrop camping. 40 minute drive to downtown New Orleans across the 31 mile long causeway. Stores, gas stations, restaurants within a few miles of…
Just completed our first non-tent camping experience with our new camper. Fontainebleau was the perfect spot. Easy to navigate, lots of really good campsites, clean, air-conditioned restrooms. Tons of wildlife and a great splash park for the kids. Nice nature trails. Can’t wait to go back.

We came here during the week so we had a little more space to ourselves. We were able to ride bikes and kayak. There's a river that runs right through the campground. A small "general store" is a real convience for those of us who forget the ketchup! The campsite was quite muddy due to the large…

Pulled into this State Park after dark and snagged on open site on a Thursday night.
Little did I know I snagged a 'premium' site so it was $34.
The second night I chose a primitive site for a more reasonable $18.
Nice restroom and shower facilities kept very clean 2x a day. Showers weren't…

The park has a few primitive spots, but everything is small and close. Hiking trail is maybe a half mile, but that’s about it. There is a beautiful boardwalk on the Tchefuncte River, though, with great fishing.

When we arrived the bottom land loops were closed due to recent floods. The upper loop has paved roads, pads were decent size with huge gravel rocks. Well spaced sites mostly level. Not a lot of shade, but still nice. signs of work being done every where, from parking areas to hiking trails. Very…
We had our 1st trip there over spring break.
If you want quiet time, this isn't the best place but if you like a lively and busy one, it's for you.
Large pool, store and Cafe. Playground and jump pads for kids too

I want to give them a 5, but they have a water problem. It doesn’t take much rain to have standing water in many sites. Lots of the pads are old and narrow. You find yourself stepping out your coach into sloppy mud. The grade on some sites are too much for class A coaches. But if the weather is…
Went for a few nights solo camping (with my dog) in late January, so we had the tent area to ourselves until Friday afternoon. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds, but some of the fire pits and grills could use some work. Great variety of campsite layouts, as well as a couple of…

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Stayed 2 nights in 35 foot RV+tow car at$31/night. We really wanted to like this park more than we did as it has great hiking trails, gorgeous natural setting, deer running around everywhere. But there seems to be a…
Have visited twice. First visit, my original campsite was flooded and was able to switch to another site. Last trip was good but site 35 is very close to 33. The fire rings are within 30 feet of each other and can hear other campers talk, however the primitive sites were nice. They have about 4-5…
This state park is really pretty, full of lush Spanish moss trees, hiking trails, and historic markers.(although finding out this was a plantation for 150 slaves was unpleasant).
It’s only 45 mins to New Orleans so it’s a great place to stop, drop, and sightsee for the day.
It had full hook ups…

This is a beautiful place to bring a family. Stay for a week or just a weekend and enjoy every day. Fishing is great. Plenty of trails and board walks throughout the park. Every step brings you to a better site to see. Wildlife around each bend. Water splash pad for all to enjoy.
Traveled in 44 foot motorhome and Jeep toad, this site, first one in new section did not require me to unhook. Although my site only had water and 50 A, there are other sites that are back in with full hook ups and cement pads. Picnic table and fire pits are available. I also saw a few deer…
