Bathrooms not the greatest, restaurants are good. Service was bad one night and great the other due to a specific bartender/server. Hot tub is small and pool is shaded a lot of the day. Would stay again.
Look at the location,it's clean and well maintained. Great staff and offer many different discounts including Military.
Brad is kind and wonderful. It is in a beautiful woods. We planned to stay 3 nights. Stayed a full month. Would DEFINITELY come back!
We enjoyed our recent stay here. Pull-thru sites were gravel and fairly level yet pretty close to one another. We enjoyed watching all the private airplanes flying over into a nearby airport and were thankful they weren't loud overnight. The road was recently paved just outside the park but nearby the roads were terrible. On-site restaurant was very good and our kids enjoyed the small playground and pool. We loved walking along the marina in the resort with the cute cabins and large boats docked. One sells fresh shrimp each morning we learned.
Because of Covid, there was no shuttle to downtown but the drive in is pretty easy. Must get beignets at Cafe du Monde! We also enjoyed visiting Jean Lafitte National Park and Preserve, Storyland in City Park and great food all around.
Great Lake for kayaking. Nice big fishing pier. Great fishing for big bass and catfish along the levy.
This park is quiet and very clean. It has 2 playgrounds for children and a small swimming area that is roped off. Fishing can be excellent. Sites 3,4,5 are oriented where you see the water when you open your door. We were in site 4. Sites 4 and 5 have a 25x10 foot deck extending from rv site-very nice. The sites by the water have excellent places to dock your boat by your camper.
We car camp and this was a great boondocking spot for us. Flush toilets, hot showers, and $1 (coin) laundry machines were clutch. Facilities were very clean. The water and electricity at the campsite were also helpful. Lots of RVs here, so this location is suitable for whatever kind of camping you’re looking to do.
Primitive camping is $15, RV hookups/bathrooms/laundry is $22, but they offer a variety of discounts. If you want visible water, ask for campsites 36-40. There are a few short trails that we walked, but we didn’t explore too much. We definitely recommend this campsite.
The park is staffed with friendly staff and was very clean. Great access to the lake from most of the camp sites.
Don’t let the condition of the road or the buildings scare you away from this state park. These people have had to clean up after 2 hurricanes this year. All sites in campground B are level concrete, water and electric. State park grills, picnic tables and sunken fire pits all for just 20.00 per night. 20 minutes from downtown Natchez. Great spot.
