Nice area and the lots have decent spacing. Bring bug spray and watch your small animals. Gators rule the lake.

Spent a couple days at this campground. We were the only ones there and had the place to ourselves. Water available near every site.
Bathrooms close by but no showers. It was hot so we were deciding whether to go or not. It had to be (or feel like) 10 deg cooler with the breeze of off the…

Most campsites overlook the lake. The sites are seperated for privacy and well maintained. The fire pits are the only problem as they are poorly designed and have no ventilation. Bring your own pit. The bathrooms are clean.

Nice clean level sites. Most of them along the lakeshore and private. The campground loops around and has some interior sites. All seem very level and spacious. The campground host and hostess very friendly and helpful. I am definitely coming back to visit this campground.

White Oak Lake is packed with well-maintained sites to camp at various levels of comfort. Tent sites provide opportunities to “rough it” while RV sites allow comfort at the edge of a great “deep-wood” experience. The lake has many activities for swimming, paddle boating, and fishing. The shallow…

Overnight stay at this park on our way home from Galveston. $12 for full hookups. $6 for primitive. We paid for full hookups since the primitive area was overgrown and VERY primitive. We were able to just pull in and find a lovely, level, shady spot. We had electricity and a covered pavilion, but…

The management is incredibly rude and sexist. Promotes good old boy type of atmosphere and encourages inappropriate behavior. Unfriendly, uncooperative and will call you tasteless improper names when confronted.
I thought I’d stay here because it said it was free on the app: IT IS NOT FREE. It’s cheap though! $12/night and you can book on the recreation.gov app.
If you want to tent camp or sleep in your car, only book sites 1-5. The others don’t seem to have flat spots for much of anything. Perhaps…
Stayed 1 night for rooftop camping on car. Chose to set up in the primitive camping area on the grass near the boat docking area. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful sounds off the lake at night. Bathrooms are not the best.

Very nice state park for its size. Ice storm has had its way here but they are cleaning up nicely. Bath houses stayed super clean all weekend. Park hosts were very nice. Walking trails were very clean around lake with TentRR glamping being added. 4 lake front premium spots. We were kicking enough…

Our first famcamp, not a bad start. They have a new area for short stays, everyone kept to themselves. Nice walking trail that circles the base. Stayed in January, ticks were really bad, despite not going into the woods. Great facilities.
Really nice like a resort. Tennis courts, swimming pool (closed for winter), horse shoe pit, laundry mat, disc golf, and awesome clean bathrooms. Very nice sites and BEAUTIFUL cabins. Great piers on a very nice lake with big, beautiful cypress trees. Just a beautiful, hilly campground on a gorgeous…

Called to inquire on tent/dispersed camping on 1.14.21 and was told the park is currently closed except for "certified" RV spots. Since our Sprinter is self sufficient it isn't considered certified, they wouldn't reserve a space for us. 😔
Small park, lots of trees and walking/mtn bike trails. Beautiful lake, ducks, fishing piers, swimming beach, playground. Campground is right on the lake. No bad Rv spots! Spots have concrete pads. Full hookup. They take reservations, but not for a particular spot. A really wonderful place…
