Great quiet place over all

My wife and I stayed one night, it was very nice and peaceful. We found it very easy, and was definitely in the woods. We were the only people there, it was a Sunday and we were disperse tent camping. Once it got dark, a few vehicles passed thru but did not stop. The wooden area was very shady…

Great lake

The view was great. We were tent camping and were told spot 11 and 10 would be the best for tent camping. This was not the best spots the roads also need a lot of attention they were very rough.

Can't beat for Price

Very out and the open! Hard for rigs to pull into, soft ground, and potholes in the dirt road. Site are very close together, first come first serve. Has electric and water at ever site tho! $6 a night is a steal, I have the America is Beautiful/interagency pass and only pay $3 a night. Saves you…

Inexpensive and quite

First 6 days without electricity because of the snow storm, water pressure is low but available. Very pleased with campsite, host Billy very helpful. Overall enjoyed our 2 weeks there.

Very nice campground

Spaces are large and well spaced for privacy. Beautiful lake views. The only negative is the rediculous fire pits. Obviously designed by someone who never experienced camping or a campfire. The pits are 2 feet tall, solid steel with NO air holes. Fires never burn and even if they did you…

Loved It

The campsites are huge, many with water views, and spaced out well. Very quiet and starry at night. Decent hiking trails and fishing/boating/swimming at the lakes. Only 29 sites but a real nice spot to get away.

Love this place

Most of the campgrounds here are great. We passed by Coyote Camp and there were a few hunters. This campsite is more primitive, but does offer man-made fire rings and vault toilets. There was a small amount of litter present, but not as bad as other places we’ve been. The roads are very easy to…

Simple, quiet, beautiful

The hosts, Larry and Wendy, are friendly and helpful. The spots are gorgeous. Clean, trashcans at each spot. Good bathrooms. Just wonderful.

Nice tent-only campground

This is a US Forest Service campground. It’s located on the Caroline Dorman trail. When the water levels are high there are beautiful waterfalls. It’s remote and requires travel down gravel roads to access it. I didn’t have a cell signal there with AT&T and didn’t have one for some time prior…

Home of the Sugsr Cane National Recreation Trail

Great US Forest Service campground especially if you enjoy hiking, biking or fishing. The Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail loops around the lake. The campground is a loop with approximately 30 large and level sites with electric and water hookups. Some are on the lake and some more wooded. All…

Nice, peaceful USFS Campground

Large level RV sites. You feel really private in your site even if you have neighbors. They have several hiking/biking trails but they were logging at the time of my visit so I wasn’t able to hike them. Also they have a lakefront beach but it was closed due to COVID 19 concerns. There’s also a boat…

Peace and Quiet

This is a very beautiful Federal campground. Sites are scattered. Lots of shade, large trees. We were in site 16, which has water access and views. Level concrete pads. Electric and water. Dump station only. Many beautiful hiking and bike trails. Kayaking, swimming , boating and fishing. Showers…

Very Nice

This was particularly nice as I was the only person at the site when I visited. It is free for camping use, though there is a fee for things like ATV’s. There’s an ATV trail nearby which I did some hiking on, and in general it was a nice and fairly secluded area, with your standard National Forest…
