Awesome views of the Gulf.

Great spot on the Gulf of Mexico. The sites have full hookups and are level, and best of all on the beach. This is not a typical RV park as there are no amenities. As of this date rates are $70 a night. One of the best things is there is a gazebo at the back of the site, with a light. I am from the…

Nice lake side spot, market, water smells bad

The campground is very nice, the lakeside is beautiful, we loved the little market right in the front by the lake and the lady working there is very nice. However the water smelled very badly like metal and we had to turn it off and use our own tank water since it smelled so yucky. Not sure if…

Quiet, clean, delightful

We intended to boondock on Rutherford Beach, but we were wholly unimpressed with the area. Spring burning, hurricane devastation, debris - just not a good time for that area. And when the Cameron Ferry turned us down (said the ferry ramp was too steep for our 21 ft Chinook Concourse - we’d rip…

Beachfront on a perfect beach

The area was ravaged by the fall hurricanes, so almost no stores, restaurants or gas stations are to be found within 15 miles..... so get everything you need before you get here, cause once you're here you have no reason to leave, if you're here for beach.

You'll get greeted by a southern…

Great little hidden gem

Found this place by accident. Its quiet, small and well hidden. The care takers are very helpful. It has clean showers and bathrooms, although they are very utilitarian. It sits right next to the swamp, with a nice boat launch and dock. From what the locals tell me. There is great fishing, plenty…

Dave and DiDi Go Crabbing

This was our second visit to this nice campground. Improvements were made after Hurricane Rita, All sites are gravel with plenty of room. Each side includes a picnic table-- with those between the two boat ramps covered--as well as a garbage can. Easy access to water for fishing and crabbing at the…

Quiet and Friendly

This is a new RV campground on Holly Beach. Level campsites, on thick concrete. Sites one through eight have beautiful metal roof pergolas, with lighting and a large square picnic table with 4 benches. Also has a good sized grill and electric hookups. We were in site 8 at the end with beautiful …

Dirty Campground

I'm not one to give bad reviews frequently. And hopefully things have changed. But, back in 2016, this was one of the worst and dirtiest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. It wasn't dirt like normal outdoor activity dirt. It was dirt like the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a year.

Perfect weekend getaway

Don’t know why I’ve never heard of this place before but it’s amazing. Rustic mom and pop place tucked away in a country setting right on the water. We had a waterfront view and hated to leave to head home. Staff is so nice and accommodating!!! Will be back!!!

Great place if you're a heavy sleeper

The campground is located on the intracoastal waterway, just under a bridge. The sign says $4 for tents but the caretaker said it's $6 (still a bargain). He let us pay $4. Several of the sites had sheltered tables which was perfect for us since rain was in the forecast. The only problem was we were…

Nice spots and river walk

$20 for site with hookups plus $3/person/night. The sites are level with adequate spacing. Showers are clean and hot but pressure is lacking. They are the push kind so you must continually press to keep the water running. The river walk from the campground is really nice. Office is helpful and kind.

Great RV park and a Great Beach

This review is about the Holly Beach RV park that you pay to stay at. There is free camping on the beach. but we stayed at the Holly Beach RV Park located on Mallard street

We stayed 3 nights at the Holly Beach RV Resort and we were the only one here. The park is a large concrete slab in the…
