Artesian springs resort

Has a white sand spring fed swim area with a large slide and a trolley. Golf cart and pet friendly. Trails to walk on in the woods around several ponds. Has 30 and 50 amp connection's, sewer and water hook up. Tent and cabin camping also. Canoe rentals for catch and release fishing in ponds. …

Awesome views of the Gulf.

Great spot on the Gulf of Mexico. The sites have full hookups and are level, and best of all on the beach. This is not a typical RV park as there are no amenities. As of this date rates are $70 a night. One of the best things is there is a gazebo at the back of the site, with a light. I am from the…

Nice lake side spot, market, water smells bad

The campground is very nice, the lakeside is beautiful, we loved the little market right in the front by the lake and the lady working there is very nice. However the water smelled very badly like metal and we had to turn it off and use our own tank water since it smelled so yucky. Not sure if…

The site was trashy.

Trashy stuff all over, a garbage can that looks like it's been there a year never emptied, molding. had to move trash to park the camper. There are nicer sites but the back end of them are not up kept seemingly at all.

Peaceful

Have stayed several times n the past years and the results are always the same. Friendly and professional staff that s made even better with an occasional laugh from nearby that either won at the casino or had a good time at the pool. Either way it is a nice place to get away for a few days.

Loved it!

Had such a great and relaxing time! Rented the kayak for an hour multi times. Water is cold and refreshing. The property is remarkably clean and well kept! Always a worker around to help! We made friends with everyone! Love this gem!

Great for the price

If you like to gamble or just want very cheap spot for your RV this is a great deal. At $19 a night plus tax, this place rocked. Concrete pads and pull-thrus throughout. Pool, lodge(under repair 04/21) and large pond. Nice dog park. Bath/shower house was not the best, but clean enough. Lady at…

Not my cup o’ tea.

Had high hopes for this location, but we were disappointed. I’m sure under better conditions, Rutherford may shine. But Hurricane Laura in August of 2020 really hurt. My impression was: devastation, smoke, debris. Even for a free camp site, life is too short. We moved on. Note: the Cameron Ferry…

Quiet, clean, delightful

We intended to boondock on Rutherford Beach, but we were wholly unimpressed with the area. Spring burning, hurricane devastation, debris - just not a good time for that area. And when the Cameron Ferry turned us down (said the ferry ramp was too steep for our 21 ft Chinook Concourse - we’d rip…

Beachfront on a perfect beach

The area was ravaged by the fall hurricanes, so almost no stores, restaurants or gas stations are to be found within 15 miles..... so get everything you need before you get here, cause once you're here you have no reason to leave, if you're here for beach.

You'll get greeted by a southern…

Great little hidden gem

Found this place by accident. Its quiet, small and well hidden. The care takers are very helpful. It has clean showers and bathrooms, although they are very utilitarian. It sits right next to the swamp, with a nice boat launch and dock. From what the locals tell me. There is great fishing, plenty…

Hidden jewel in the Pines.

This is a very nice campground. Full hookups, level gravel sites. Mature pines. Lots of birds. Playground equipment for the kids. Pool. Very nice staff.
