Day Use Area

This is a Day Use Area located on the Big Hill Lake outside of Cherryvale, Kansas and set in the Gently rolling prairie with a large scattering of trees. The area considers itself as Kansas “Little Ozarks.” It is a beautifully serene setting dotted with campgrounds and day use areas. The Big Hill…

Ok Campground

The campground was quite dated, nice view of lake, busy road that runs next to campground despite the rural setting. Not much of a place to swim. Staff were friendly & accommodating.

RV Sites right on the Lake

We stayed in Site 1 which has a large yard and unobstructed view of the lake, which is only about 40 yards away.

Our site has water and 50 Amp electric and there is a dump on the way out of the park. The bathhouse is very clean, having a single bathroom stall and shower and lock on door. There is…

Nice but crowded in the summer

This place was very quaint and exceptionally close to the lake. However, in the summer the day use areas are PACKED.

Nice enough

Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30…

Maiden voyage

We purchased a used RV from the Coachlight dealership and they provided us with 2 nights, free in their camp grounds. They were amazing to work with. Since we are novices, they took the time to make sure we knew how to operate EVERYTHING! Scotty, Norm, and Mike have been very helpful. We highly…

Grand time at Grand Lake

We met friends there. We boated, jet ski'd, visited, ate, made new friends and had the best week. Concrete pads, 30 and 50 Amp available but no sewer hookups. Had to use the turd wagon but it was an easy pull. Already making plans to go back.

Well Run Campground

Cedar Oaks is a very easy campground (CG) to find and get into. We did not have a designated site number but had requested back-in site 90 on the lake or a pull through from 64 to 73. We got our first choice and after an easy check-in we were escorted to site 90 and were assisted backing in. This…

Beautiful Views - Good Price

Decent sized campground, full hookups, WiFi is a little spotty, nice view of the lake, plenty of green space for kids or dogs to play, 2 easy trails to walk. Convenient location to town, but surprising quiet for being so close.

Nice Open and on the Water

We spent several days camping at Bernice State Park.  Spacious, open sites and beautiful views of the lake.  They have a hiking trail, but it was closed while we were there as they were getting it ready for Halloween.  Didn't use the restrooms.  We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Such a beautiful place to stay

We go here every year with family, The little trails from the campsites to the lake are amazing! There are little sand bars along the way to get into the water. There are trees at every campsite. Most campsites are nestled into the trees from the road making a beautiful Escape! The showers are very…

Twin Bridges State Park

Nice, no one camping in December. Mostly set up for RVs with some day use areas. Nice vistas of the Neosho River from the Echo Bluff sites with all the leaves down. Biggest detractor is the traffic noise. Didn't check out the boat launch area which was across the highway from the main park…
