Triple J RV Park

Triple J RV Park sits directly off Interstate 70 in Russell, Kansas, making it a convenient overnight stop for cross-country travelers. The campground accommodates RVs up to 70 feet with full hookups on level gravel pads separated by wide grassy areas dotted with mature shade trees.

Campers consistently note the park's proximity to the interstate brings constant highway noise throughout the night. The gravel roads and sites provide solid footing, though several reviewers mention finding debris scattered in the grass areas. Jeremy H. describes the property as having "very level" sites where "the entire place is clean." Friendly cats roam the grounds, greeting visitors at check-in and patrolling the sites regularly.

The campground features covered picnic tables at most sites, with some locations offering unique fire rings built into decorative clay bear statues. A dog run provides space for pets, and laundry facilities operate at reasonable rates. T-Mobile service registers as very good despite earlier poor ratings. Staff accommodates late arrivals and can arrange isolated sites for campers preferring separation from neighbors.

Office hours close at 7 PM, though management accepts late check-ins with advance notice. The location provides walking access to nearby restaurants, including Meridy's steakhouse just five minutes away. Bathroom facilities function adequately but may need attention between cleanings. For travelers seeking quieter alternatives, Fossil Creek RV Park offers another option just northeast of town.

Many visitors reported friendly hosts and level, spacious sites with good hookups at this convenient I-70 stop. Highway noise is a consistent concern for light sleepers, though most found it a solid overnight option.

Nice sites

We are slowly making our way to Montana and decided to stay for two nights. After seeing the campground we changed our plans and stayed a week. We were parked across from the dog park as requested. The laundry facilities were good and reasonably priced.

Great for a night!

Awesome little stop on my X-Country route, host was very sweet, I told her I know the spots are close but I like to be isolated when I can and she gave me a great site away from everything with a fire-ring. Just what I wanted. T Mobile service is Very Good opposed to the rating I saw of Poor

Good for overnight

We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the night. Arrived just before the office closed at 7pm. Got a pull-through full-hookups site. The campsite pads are level, nice and wide, gravel like the roads, with wide grassy/dirt/gravel areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Also several friendly cats acting as camp hosts, welcoming us at the office when we checked in, greeting us every time we stepped out of our rig, and checking out all the campsites and trees regularly. ☺️ Our site had a picnic table and a clay/Terra cotta statue of a bear eating honey, with a hole in his belly as a small fire ring. Most sites had a covered picnic table. Full hookups worked fine.

Bathrooms were ok; dead crickets on the floor.

We would stay here again.

Nice Stop But Loud Next To Interstate

This is a nice spacious campground off of 70, very easy access to the interstate. The sites are roomy and have full hookups and covered picnic areas. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The cons are that it is right next to the interstate, thus, the noise is exceptionally loud and it was difficult to get a good nights sleep. The grounds could be cleaned up as well as there are pieces of trash and dog poop in the grass. It is a nice little place to stay for the night passing through but could use some improvements.

Lovely owners, cute spot, convenient everything

Called Sunday of July 4 weekend and the owners answered. Late check in was zero issue. Super friendly folks and their pets are sweet as can be! Walked 5 mins up to Meridy’s for dinner and had one of the best steaks of my life. For just passing through, I couldn’t ask for a better quality stop.

Good overnight stay

This is a Good Sam campground.

Good for an overnight stay. Came in late, called number & was greeted on the golf cart by an elderly lady.

Nice Little Spot

Convenient location. Accommodating staff. Well lit. Good dog run. We stopped in early November and Kansas was already cold and windy!

Sufficient for our short stop

The sites are long and the utility hookups are good. There's a lot of highway noise, which should be expected since it's extremely close to I70. This was a handy and reasonably priced stop on our cross country journey.
