Rockwall has covered picnic area at each primitive site, which was great for us as it rained half our trip. The campground is more secluded and sites are further apart, which we loved. Easy access to fishing but the trails are further away.
A city maintained park in Lincoln Kansas with 30 and 50 amp plugs, dumping station, and a nice park next door. And $20! 😀

Being hikers at heart, we chose this campground since it is very close to the Horse Thief Trail trailhead. Unfortunately, the trails are very much built for horseback riding with sand terrain, a VERY narrow path and intense overgrowth. Not quite what we were expecting. It would probably be okay…
This place is incredible! Right by a lake, this campground is extremely well maintained and spacious. You can sit at a picnic table, under luscious trees overlooking the lake and the houses beyond. There are RV spots and primitive campsites, and if you go Sunday-Thursday, those primitive sites are…
stayed here for 2 nights . I have to say the views and campsites were excellent.
who knew that in the middle of Kansas there is a 9000 acre lake that is just breathtaking
I will be going back next time I go thru Kansas.

This was our second time camping here and we loved it just as much as the first! We stayed on Wheatgrass loop site #57. The sites are huge! This back-in site was easily 50-60ft long. Water and electric hookups were conveniently located and the site was mostly level side to side. And that view!…
I'm almost positive this camp site is fake. I wouldn't call the number to make reservations.
If you want a nice walk drive to kanapolis. If you want to calm and swim go somewhere else. The water is disgusting. Camping areas are full of sand spiders and May flys.
It's a nice little fishing lake. It's a bit small and don't have swimming areas. But it's nice looking.
The park is self is big and good for a walk. The are it's in however is a bit sketchy. Definitely don't want to have kids there past dark.
We came in the late afternoon on a Friday in October. Drove from the interstate. We saw the sign & turned. We became completely lost. I picked up a map at the office, which was closed, but it didn't help. We drove around then came back to the office. There was a conservation officer in the…

What a lovely campground and state park. It’s 16 minutes off I70 and feels so remote and peaceful- no highway traffic noise. We pulled in late at night on a Monday in October after many hours in the road and were thrilled at how peaceful and clean it was. We stayed at campsite 17 right on the lake…
Found a nice primitive spot, but up hammocks, then teenagers showed up and played loud music and partied all night. Not much peace
