Great Overnight Spot

Just off I-80 this was a clean, large, level, grassy tents sites. Gas station right next door. Owner was very friendly and helpful. No reservation needed. We came in after hours and owner greeted us and made sure we got settled. Would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous But Not For Tent Campers

This campground is one of the prettiest we've stayed at, but had its limitations, too.

  • Sites are very, very spacious. It's easy to keep to yourself.
  • Doesn't have a party vibe, if you're into peace and quiet
  • The park is HUGE. Lots to see, many spots to have a picnic or hike…

Sweet tent sites on the lake!

Great open air tent sites right on the side of the lake. Perfect access to restrooms close to the beach and close to the beach and write-off the boat dock.

Perfect for overnight camping

Very cute campground right off highway. I called while traveling and Mike was very accommodating. Full hookups and showers. Even got a pool. Gas station nearby full of character.

Great site

Had an awesome camping trip here. We were last minute and there were 2 spots left, we happened to get an awesome site, away from other campers, right on the river for fishing. Only issue was the whole site is on a hill, so had to pitch a tent on the parking pad. Bathrooms were surprisingly…

Great campsite

Last minute on Saturday night they had only 2 spots left. We were tent camping but they only had electric sites remaining. We got site 31, beautiful spacious area, right off the River for fishing! Bathroom facilities were clean and had hot water. Each site has a water faucet. Host was helpful…

Nice place

I called at the last minute. No answer , left a message. Mike called back within 5 minutes! Nice guy, gave us a spot. When we got there, he gave us our choice of 2 spots! Nice looking pool, but we didn’t use it. So nice after a looong day of traveling!

Revitalized lake beautiful campground

We ventured south to Geode State Park near Burlington, IA. We are getting the travel trailer tweeked in. We weathered a rainy 🌧 day Saturday (all day). There was enough room that it was not uncomfortable. We started having issues with our propane heater. So what do you do when camping and it has…

Stay Here

Driving cross country, this was my favorite campground. I had a large, private site that had a mowed path leading to the lake. The large lake is beautifully landscaped with walking bridges made from recycled iron and memorial trees of many varieties. There is about a two mile trail circumventing…
