Great campground

Lots to do at this campground. Hiking, biking, fishing.

Pros & Cons..

Cons: A little rough, but is kept up as best as they can. Funding for the area is lacking. It floods out when it storms. Alot of gnats. Entry road needs repairs. Pros: boat ramp, incredible view for sunset photography. Lots of space for tents or RV's. Good fishing. Plenty of parking. Friendly…

Nice spot with fishing and levees to walk

This rustic yet charming place was a welcoming respite for the weekend. The hosts are kind and friendly. They were willing to help bring picnic tables to a site if they weren't already there. They also warned us of an upcoming storm - this location can flood when the river rises. They also said to…

  • It's a small sign so keep an eye out for it. The campground is down the road a bit.

Jubilee College SP

I’m giving it 3 stars not as a punishment or sign of anything wrong...I’m considering 3 stars as average. Not big pros or cons in my opinion. I’d say most of the sites are comparable. We stayed in Loop A and the shower house is in Loop B. Our biggest dislike for the CG is there’s no good way to get…

Beautiful campground

We visited mid week in May. Campground was empty. Rented the one cabin they have $45 has heat/ac and a secluded view of the lake. Bathrooms were a walk and were porta potties. Full toilets and showers were other side of campground. Trees were awesome. If it wasn’t so cold that night we would of…

Community feel, a bit cramped

Easy to find large campground. This place has seasonal spots as well. They will have a runner guide you to your spot and assist you in parking. The sites are a bit cramped. When Unhitching if there is anyone waiting to drive by, you feel kind of rushed. Don’t let it make you forget wheel chocks…

Nice atmosphere, a bit cramped

We stayed here the second week of October in 2020. The campground staff is polite and they have a runner guide you to your campsite, which is good because the sites are a bit cramped. If there is someone waiting to get into their site you kind of feel hurried to get unhitched, so keep that in mind…

Nice of the beaten path campground on a lake

The campground is nice and well maintained and sites are fairly well spaced with lots of grass and open areas. We were in site 26, one of the FHU sites, for 10 days. Most of the sites were deceptively unlevel though. Our front wheels were about 4” off of the ground on our 36’ Class A, even though…

Beautiful State Park

My favorite thing about Jubilee is how quiet it is. The abundant forest, trails and the creek going through the park make this an ideal place to visit during spring and fall. Summer is ok too but may get a bit hot in Central Illinois for my taste. The campsites and campground are very nice.…

bring your hammock

If you like your hammock, or anything you can string between trees, this is the place. The campground is in a stand of tall lodgepole pines with no lower branches. This means there's little privacy, but lots of shade and trees everywhere.
 There is a nice man-made lake for canoeing/kayaking or…

Road and river side camping with no frills

We had the entire campground to ourselves on a cold weekend stay. There isn’t much area to explore- just the campground and the river shoreline within it. However we witnessed the most spectacular sunset over the river. It was well worth the night’s adventures.

We stayed in the non-electric…

  • Spectacular sunsets across the lake made our stay worth it
  • We were the only ones on the non-electric side but the main road is just beyond that green grass

Love the "pencil tree forest".

My family stayed on site 21 in our popup and had a great time. We LOVED the pencil tree forest. There are only a handful of campsites w electric in this circle of trees. Although these types of trees don't offer a lot of privacy I still enjoyed it. Our site was a short walk down to the lake…
