The Lava pools are amazing and the town is very charming and walkable options. They have canoeing, rubber tubes, evokes, vespas and four wheelers available. The campsite is very kids friendly during summer months.
The address we put into our GPS took us to the Marina so we drove further along the lake to Rendezvous Beach area where we checked in at the gate house with no problems. We then proceeded to the Birch campground(CG) FHU site 55, which was a pull through. The CG map shows there are 4 CGs(Willow,…

Electric and water hook ups with dump site. Public outhouses are available. if you are up to walking a bit the ones near the day use area are cleaner and used less. Beautiful lake.

Well, 2021 a little different this year because everyone is camping…. Now reservations are required. The CG is spacious. Now, you make sure you know how to maneuver your rig in small sites. Otherwise this CG is quite nice.

Spent two nights. Slept one night in the cabin other night outside. It rained both nights. Stayed dry both nights. Bring a nice pad to sleep on for sure. Cows everywhere. Side by sides race up and down the road. Hike around the cow trails. No cell service and no water. Propane stove and electric…
I loved staying at the guard station! There is a spot to hang your hammock. You can relax by the fire pit or read a book on one of the two picnic tables provided.
Make sure to bring your own water.
Nice campground pit toilets by boat launch. Mosquitos are pretty thick campsites are by lake most have a path to the lake.

My boys thought this was the greatest spot we’ve ever found…. Site 53 was by far the best in the camp. Large fire pit, at the back of the campground, the creek was 10 ft from our tent. Trail for hiking right there and the cleanest bathrooms! Camp host was friendly and helpful with on questions…
The only reason why I give this site a four-star is because the bathrooms are run down and old. We also found a rattlesnake next to the bathroom. The spring is really nice for little kids to play with and there is a small dam at the bottom to go fishing swim and kayaking.
The only reason why I give this a four-star is because the toilets are very old and run down. It was a large group site. The spring was fun for the kids to play in. There was a small dam at the bottom where the kids could swim and kayak.
This RV park is along side Bear Lake. A short stroll across the large beach and you can set up shade, have a relaxing day on the beach.
Pros: pretty creek, decent pool, and nice store.
Cons: lots of dead grass and weeds, trash in the fire pit, a full on junk yard on full display, and junk laying around.
Good enough for a stop over, but plenty of other places to try for multiple nights stay.
This campground has a range of options from tent only to full hookup, even though those were reserved for employees. We enjoyed that this campground was off from the main attractions of GTNP. It was also closet to Jackson for town amenities. We booked here due to reviews about moose sightings. …
Really nice people. Helped us out in a jam. Clean bathrooms and showers. Full hook ups.
This campsite was so convenient. We stayed two nights and were able to go everywhere in the park. A great home base
