Beautiful location

Very clean, well kept resort. Almost full. We were here in early June and the day temperatures were in the low 100’s with very low humidity. Sites are pretty tight with close neighbors. WiFi is good. Didn’t try the cable. Location is convenient to the lake and shopping. Boat rentals are available…

Camp ground is nice peaceful. They really take care of the areas

WWe mad reservations online. Came out here in March 2021. Very beautiful the lake is so big you cant fish it all in one day. Kayaks are allowed. But around the lake is very sandy you will get stuck or bring towing cables. They have rv sites for over might sleepers. They had showers there but theure…

great quiet spot

I went here beginning of March 2020 and it was gorgeous. no one else there, super quiet, amazing sunsets, and great rock climbing. Also, the stars are impeccable. Hopefully you have a hearty vehicle because the roads are tough up to it.

Beautiful

This is probably one of the coolest places I've visited in a long time and it's absolutely beautiful. Campsites are still closed due to Covid, but when you can camp again, highly recommended. I'd also suggest planning you trip around the full moon. There are several sheltered picnic tables in the…

Very clean, modern park.

Very clean park.  Concrete roads and gravel sites.  Very nice shower/laundry facility.  Sites are a little close upfront and the road noise can be a bit of an issue. Good cell service with Verizon and AT&T. Nice area to visit with the lake and dam close by.

Short backcountry jaunt

It’s awesome!!!! Currently the sites are closed due to Covid (as of 10/28/20), but the ranger said they were putting a plan in place. I believe there were 8 spots, all in the Interfunks area. Each site is isolated from each other by the dunes. It is a short hike in less than a mile to the…

Mysterious and Elegant

The White sands National Park is one for the books. This was incredible and definitely photos will never do justice. This is a must do and a must stay place!

Remote and full of nature

Driving into this campground was incredible. The scenery all around was well worth the trip. Be prepared to endure whatever nature has in store for you. When we were here a wind storm kicked up in the middle of the night and literally almost blew us away! It was quite the experience. Also I'm not…

1st time stay. 💖

This was my first time stay here. I found staff very friendly and helpful. Location was very clean and very easy to back into. I used my NM state park pass on this stay and for only $4 a night includes 30Amp and water. I have about 20 channels available, wifi works well and no problems with my…

Not impressed

Kinda dumpy. Dry and dusty. A lot of goathead stickers, be prepared for flat tires if you bike there.

For the sunsets, the sunrises, and the dark skies

Our newest National Park offers inexpensive primitive camping along a backcountry loop trail. You'll need to carry your gear ~1 mile each way, so pack and plan accordingly. the hike isn't tough, but it will take you 20-30 minutes to get to your site and you want to be settled in time to enjoy the…

  • Beware the grains of sand....I clearly got one on my lens and it appears in many of my photos!

My favorite campsite ever

White sands national monument is absolutely stunning. The campground is on a loop you have to follow signs up and down dunes until you reach your assigned site. Super cheap, super private, super beautiful! Backcountry camping makes its sound more intimidating than it is. Pack light because you do…
