Perfect location and great staff!

Great location! The happiest, kindest staff! Doug and Judy truly make you feel like a part of their little RV park family. They have fun activities, like trivia nights and dog parades! They even have prizes! Love all the trees, waterfall trout pond, volleyball, tetherball, cute convenience store…

  • Large pull through, site G. Lots of space, wonderful grassy area and personal picnic table. Plenty of room!
  • Toast to a great location and perfect weather!
  • tetherball fun

Not a KOA but still solid

This campground was a very present experience. The river was right behind our site and there was a small amount of privacy. Pool was superb. My only complaints are that the bathhouse I went to (old one) was pretty rough. Also I’m convinced the wifi isn’t actually connected to anything. There is 0…

One of the best camp grounds in CO

We spent a total of 8 days at this campground with 2 dogs and 3 kids. it was amazing falling asleep to the sound of the river at night and waking up to the call of singing birds. We enjoyed all the area had to offer. I recommend bringing decent bug repellent as the mosquitos can get heavy at dawn…

Peaceful and comfortable

This RV campground is beautiful and peaceful. The river flows next to the grounds and the trees provide lovely shade. The campground is super clean and well maintained. The hosts, Bill and Julia, are friendly and welcoming. The other campers follow the rules and are friendly too. Lots of folks who…

Colorado Atlantis

The campground is really just a parking lot overlooking the lake. The view is very nice though and so is the reliable breeze. Don’t bank on the showers working, they were not in-op when we visited.

Quiet

We are traveling with a young, very timid dog so asked for a large space. She gave us an end space with no shade and no grass; however, we have a nice view of the trees along the Animas River and are a short distance from the river. Lots of long term RVs, but their spaces are well maintained. Good…

quiet place to crash

We stayed here on a Tuesday night (May 5). It was extremely quiet; we were probably one of two campsites that were occupied that night. The outhouse was clean, and the campsite host came by and said hello in the morning. Overall it was a nice place to crash on our way to the sand dunes.

Perfect Dispersed Camping Spot

We had this place all to ourselves over Memorial Day Weekend. It was lovely and quiet with only a few cars passing by. You can walk down to the river (a little treacherous but definitely doable!) and it’s a short drive away from a lot of neat hikes. It’s also not too far from town. 10/10 would…

Best spot in Durango

This campground is amazing! As stated before, this is no longer a KOA campground, but it’s one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. Outside of Durango, away from the road, all you hear is the river running by. The sites are all large and the grounds are immaculate. We stayed 5 nights and were very sad…

Nice, quiet, widely spaced sites, but lake almost nonexistent

We stayed in Blanco CG site 52 for 6 days in a 36’ Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. The park has gone to great lengths to make the sites level and most looked like they were. Ours was very level and I almost didn’t need to level at all. All of the sites are spacious and quite widely spaced.…

Best campground yet!

This has been our favorite campground yet! It’s a bit of a rough road getting up the mountain but it’s worth it. Lots of washboarding on the road up but it’s fine if you just coast over the bad areas and go slow. Our site was level, clean, and very spacious! Staff was around on golf carts…

Quiet park just off of the road

Nice campground with easy access. The park was clean, and the staff was very friendly. RV sites on the river seemed close together, but the sites next to the mountain felt more private.

Pretty nice

Full hookups and good shade. Not expensive, but cash or check only. Friendly folks. Some semi-distant road noise, but not terrible. Close to the nice Animas River!
