Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campground located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!)



At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer.



About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.)

Moon Valley Campground

Bring out your inner-Lenni Lenape and explore Northwestern New Jersey's Skylands region and the Upper Delaware Valley.  This is one of the most beautiful parts of New Jersey with its unique rock formations, pristine forests and varied fauna and flora.  Montague, NJ is the only town in NJ that borders NY and PA.  There are no traffic lights and it is not far from the bustle of the surrounding metropolitan area.  However, when you wake up here you will feel what our first Americans felt and exclaim "God is great."  You can skip church and marvel at what the Creator entrusted the Lenni Lenape or "the common or original people" with.

Secluded woodland site off a dead-end street about 1/2 mile from the Delaware river and the nearby attractions include horseback riding, farms, canoeing, biking etc.  Enjoy tall pine trees, hemlock, a small seasonal creek.  The site is situated on a 5-acre lot adjacent to the property owner's other 60 acres and about 40 more state-owned acres that are adjacent to the lot.  Very desolate once you're here but only about 5 minutes away from Port Jervis, NY and 10 minutes away from Milford, PA.  Enjoy the Highlands nature at its best including deer, bear, fox, racoon,  turkey, fishers, skunks, porcupines, turtles, snakes and frogs.  Because we are locating near the Delaware River the mornings are full of dew and the temperature seems to be about 10 degrees lower than the rest of NJ due to the vibrant foliage and higher elevation.  It beats the Jersey Shore in terms of recharging with nature's healing powers.

You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you___re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces. 

To limit the potential impact of community spread during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. If you need any assistance, you can reach out to your host through the contact information provided in your confirmation email.

The Record Room

Relax in this private campsite in the woods next to a beautiful flowing brook with waterfalls. A few minutes from the Mongaup River hiking trail with amazing fishing. Plenty of trails will satisfy your urge to explore nature, while our beautiful waterfalls are the perfect place to hangout and just relax. 

This campsite is isolated enough for you to unplug and forget your daily worries but is also a short drive from the town of Port Jervis. Home to many local eateries this is definitely a place worth checking out during your stay. Make sure to reserve your extras before your stay! 

The Space:
Secluded wooded campsite getaway next to a brook and waterfall.

Guest Access:
This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! There is no electricity or WiFi, and cell service may be hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

When it comes to bathrooms, this campsite comes with a solar camp shower (that will be filled with water and can be hung anywhere around your campsite you feel comfortable) as well as an outdoor camp toilet (you'll line the loo with a provided CleanWaste bag, do your duty, then remove the bag, tie it off, and throw it in the garbage).

When you arrive, you'll follow the map provided to arrive at your campsite. Parking will be close by and dogs are always allowed!

Interaction with Guests:
Self Check-In: to limit the potential impact of community spread, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. If you need any assistance, you can reach out to your host through the contact information provided in your confirmation email. If you have any additional questions, the Tentrr Support Team is available 24/7 at (888) 798-9093.

Other Things to Note:
- Make sure you provide an ACCURATE GUEST COUNT. The LEGAL CAPACITY is SIX PEOPLE at the Campsite.

ARRIVE BEFORE THE SUN SETS. Getting to your Campsite in the dark is tricky. Try to arrive while the sun is still out and were still awake to help you if you get stuck or lost. If you must arrive late, please let us know your arrival time by text so we can ensure were awake.

RESPECT PRIVATE PROPERTY. Trespassing is a crime and people dont take kindly to it up here.

NO FIREWORKS. NO GUNS. The town and state require permits for ALL FIREWORKS. Guns arent permitted because there are no safe areas to shoot them here.

Youre welcome to gather sticks, twigs, and any fallen wood, but DO NOT CUT DOWN TREES.

If you do not buy the bedding set as an extra BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING. IT IS NOT PROVIDED.

Practice SOCIAL DISTANCING. Our team would love to welcome you with a hug, but given the times, we will all be keeping our distance.

RESPECT NATURE. Dont feed wildlife. Dont litter. Properly (and safely) store your food.

Keep YOUR PETS SAFE. We highly recommend keeping your pets leashed. The property is filled with cliffs and wildlife that could put your furry friend in danger.

Follow the golden rule of the great outdoors: LEAVE THE GROUND BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT.

Tentrr Signature Site - Waterfall Paradise, Walking Distance to River

Camp next to the majestic Delaware River in the comfort of a fully electrified and insulated tent. The ultimate romantic getaway is available year round. Site to includes a huge (12x20') open air platform and tarped tent for dining including 12' table with chairs. Great for ALL weather. On a separate platform host provides Tentrr's signature canvas tent including real mattress and in cold weather a wood stove, charming and powerful electric heater, and insulated carpeted floor. Across the road is our 5 bedroom farmhouse lodge, Slumberland at the River's Edge for extra guests or family that prefer indoor living. Can't find your dates? Make contact. We have many other river sites and mountain cabins.

Explore the local communities, shops, and restaurants, ski at Big Bear, bowl the handset lanes of Rohmanns Inn, hike local trails, or relax and read on a superb deck by your campfire or wood stove. In summer watch or join a steady stream of rafters travelling down the river. Or in Fall, winter, and early spring enjoy truly magical isolated times in the valley. Watch the river flow by and embracing a true back to nature experience. It is roughing it -- with all the amenities. Within 10-15 minutes are the towns of Barryville, Yulan, and Eldred where you will find great spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Or try your hand at winter cooking on an open campfire.

Please note: canvas tent features a queen-size bed for 2 people. Additional tents are available upon request for extra guests. Only cell service is through Verizon and even that is not 100% reliable. Please make contact before -- if you have any questions or special needs. Winter camping means boots, shovels, and careful attention to weather patterns. It is a great place to hunker down in any storm, but make sure you have your provisions !

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! As a general rule, Tentrr campsites do not have access to electricity and cell service may be hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided (you___re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Note for dog owners: Although well behaved dogs are welcome at all our sites, fireworks from neighboring campsites are common especially on weekends and in the summer. Although these sites are a mile away, if your dog is sensitive to this kind of noise, consider a campsite that is totally remote, or one of our indoor spaces at the farmhouse ! No refunds will be given for issues that we cannot control.
