Clean bathrooms, good amenities

Stay in one of the last weekends of August.  We were a party of 8 so we needed 2 sites, the first sites we booked were horrible - so so tiny (E11 & E12) and right on a swampy pond where the grass is growing into the water so it was hard to see where the water line was.  We had kids, so we needed to move our sites.  We ended up right across the way on E7 & E8 - much better.  This loop for tent campers is mixed.  Some of the sites are literally on the road - stay away from the sites on the same side of the road as the pond.  I saw a family who literally had to block the road a little bc they couldn't park their car *and* have a tent on the tiny site.  Anything on the side of E7 is bigger and a little deeper into the trees, but nothing seemed to be private in this campground.  It was a busy weekend, so of course there was loud music and partying - it just so happens that it was next door to our sites.  Bathrooms were far on this loop.  There are little foot bridges that you could take to get to the bathroom easier (and closer) but they are set on people's campsites, so if someone is on that site it's really walking through their site to get to it.  The campground has good amenities - wifi, pool, jumping ball, playground, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a tether ball court :).  Great for the kids.  Pool is small but it works.  There's a cafe there so we were able to grab coffees and stuff.  They deliver wood and ice to your site which is super convenient.  We would return for sure.  Also - just to let everyone know the fire pit is really small.

Great potential

Very friendly staff. The grounds are great. Certain loops/areas definitely better than others. But this space has loads of potential. We were there at the end of the season, which we loved bc we practically had this huge campground to ourselves. Our spot backed up to the river, which was great, but we had to try 2 different spots bc some of them are VERY un level.

It’s formerly a KOA and we were told the new owners were about to start some major renovations during the off-season, we we would love to come back and see the improvements.

Playground definitely needs to be replaced. It was more like a few metal bars for hanging. But they had a jump blob thing my kids loved.

Basic Campground

We went with a few families and had a nice time. It is very basic and that worked for us.

We were just there for the weekend to sit around the fire and catch up with friends.

They had the bounce pillow and a small pool. It could benefit from some sprucing up.  If I was passing through the area and needed a place to stay, I would stop here, but probably would not go back as a camping destination.

run down but decent-

Not a whole lot for children to do. There’s a bounce pillow to jump on and a really old and rickity swing set and an old metal slide. also, there’s a pool, but that is in a state of disrepair. The concrete around Is all cracked and damaged, and one of the ladders to get out was missing, but the water was clean (most Important!). They Inflate these slides, but charge a ridiculous amount to use them. They have a snack snack shop with Ice cream. The campground itself is large, and our site was right on the river and of an ample size. We had the place to ourselves on Friday, and then Saturday they stacked people right on top of us, even though there were ample other sites to spread other campers out.. Sadly, there is trash, beer bottle caps, and broken glass everywhere. I did my best to clean up, but there was still stuff all over the place. You can bring rafts and tubes and float on the river, which looked fun.. they do not monitor nor enforce quiet hours, so we had to listen to latin music blasted until well past midnight (we finally gave up on the grounds to do their job and tell them to turn music down/off so we had to) and then they were loud/wasted drunk until the early hours of the morning.. the price was high for what was here... you would think for the cost you would get more—especially better service of the grounds (keeping it clean and keeping it at a respectable noise level during quiet hours.) Not impressed with this place. I’m sure there are better places nearby—
