Beautiful sites

I’m a family of 5 and my friends family of three all stayed in one site. We went in October at the peak of the leaves changing colors. It’s was beautiful. A 6 point buck walked right through our site literally. The kids enjoyed it a lot. Amenities were very clean. Even the portapot we used was very clean. Will visit again. No service/no electronics. A good way to just unplug and enjoy Gods creation

Nice Family Spot!

Gravel parking, spacious camp sites, nice fire-pit. No picnic table at our site, but we had a clean and stocked Porta-potty. End of season trip so the camp store wound up having very little wood for sale, but plenty of other necessities. We asked for a secluded site at check in and the staff was more than willing to provide - but an after hours check-in wound up being rude campers (Parked next to us despite the entire field being open were loud past quiet hours and broke down early waking us up!) Proximity to river can make it buggy, but we were prepared with Lemon/Eucalyptus, Picaridin, and the right clothing so it didn't bother us. Would come back in a pinch, but there are nicer spots in the area!

One of the best hiking trails!

That hike up Mt Tammany peak was so freaking awesome!!! So beautiful! We started with the red dot trail and finished off with the blue dot to finish the trail in a loop.

Delaware Water Gap - River Camping

In the summer these camp sites fill up quickly. Lots of traffic in the summer but much less in March or April. Use the Pocono Pony shuttle service. Camp sites are generally clean but in season you will see some remnants of the many campers before.

Jump in the Gap!

Dingmans is in the heart of the Delaware Water Gap national recreation area. There are 2 kayak launches to access the Delaware river. Camping sites are the largest I’ve seen around the area. Bathrooms are new and fairly maintained

Fantastic views

Whether looking for just a day hike or overnight camping, the DWG is one of the best and most accessible places in the tri-state area.

Things to do: expansive trail system, great for bird watchers, and of course the infamous "red-dot trail" which leads to the top of Mount Tammany and a terrific view.
