Site selection: Consider location within the campground when booking cabins. "Pond side is a lot more crowded and desired so if you're more into a quiet experience, stick to pool side," advises a Papoose Pond visitor.

Limited maneuverability: Many cabin-focused properties have tight access roads. "Trees and roots everywhere making it impossible to take turns and forget about kids on bikes! I cleaned so many wounds during our stay from my kids falling off their bikes thanks to the landscape," cautions a Poland Spring Campground visitor.
Site configuration: Confirm utility layouts before arrival. "Be sure to bring extensions for electrical and sewer as a lot of sites are set up with difficult connection spots. Relatively level sites, long dirt road to get to is a bit of a problem," advises an Acres of Wildlife visitor.
Off-season considerations: Early and late season cabin rentals may have limited amenities. "We went the last weekend they were open for the season (sometime in October) and it was a blast! Tent sites were spacious and had a decent amount of privacy. Electric and water hookups at tent sites," notes an Acres of Wildlife camper.
