Lakeside Pines Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Swimming, paddling, and fishing on Long Lake draw campers to Lakeside Pines Campground in North Bridgton, Maine, where the water is the main event. The campground sits on the lake's shore and provides a mix of lakeside and wooded sites, with two sandy beaches giving swimmers a reliable entry point even where rocky shoreline limits direct access from individual sites. White Mountain National Forest is roughly 30 minutes out, making this a reasonable base for day trips into the mountains between time on the water.

Sites vary in character. Some sit close to the lake with open views across the water, while wooded sites offer shade but less privacy from neighbors, as the lots run small and close together. A notable share of the campground's occupants are long-term seasonal residents, which gives the atmosphere a more established, neighborhood feel than a typical transient campground. The access road is narrow, and Katie B. notes drivers should be "prepared to drive close to trees," so rigs approaching the 35-foot maximum length should take it slow on arrival.

Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections accommodate RVs, and the campground also provides WiFi, a dump station, and showers. Bathrooms have drawn generally positive remarks from reviewers, though showers have received mixed responses. The on-site store operates cash only. Those exploring campgrounds near North Bridgton will find additional options nearby, including Salmon Point City Campground and Pleasant Mountain Camping Area within a few miles. Lakeside Pines runs Memorial Day through September 15, with reservations available and pets welcome.

Many visitors highlighted the stunning Long Lake setting with good beaches and family activities. Cramped sites and mixed facility quality were noted concerns, though the natural beauty tends to outweigh drawbacks for most campers.

Quiet lakeside camping

Loons loons everywhere. Lots of wildlife. Good facilities. Full hookups for boondockers. Dump station, bath house, laundry facilities, and fire pits throughout campsites. Narrow driving lanes for inexperienced campers. Permanent campers interspersed in complex. Woodside and lakeside sites.

Long Lake, Maine. Some lakeside sites. Lots of wooded sites with easy access to the lake. A few local permanent campers.

Awesome lake

This campground was pretty good. We got two sites right next to each other and they were combined which was neat. Bathrooms were clean, showers were questionable. The store only accepts cash and there were a bunch of teenagers working that clearly didn't want to be there.

One of the times we were swimming, it was just about sundown and we were the last ones there. Someone screamed at us from the beach to get out.

Overall it was quiet, but a lot of the surrounding seasonals didn't turn off they're canopy lights or party lights all night making it very bright.

The real selling point is long lake. It's beautiful, clean and incredibly fun to be on.

Beautiful waterfront campsite.

We had a beautiful waterfront campsite (Site 113). The lake is gorgeous. Rocks make direct access to the water from the site difficult, but there is a beach for water access not too far away. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The only cons: The sites are a little small and do not have any trees between them to shield you from those next to you. It appears that a majority of the tenants who were there during our visit were long term tenants so it has a bit of a different feel than some of the other campgrounds we’ve visited. Also, the road is tight so be prepared to drive close to trees. :) You’re within 30 minutes to White Mountain National Forest, which is gorgeous!

Family fun on a terrific lake

We have been spending a week every summer at Lakesidepines for the past 10 or 15 years with friends whose family have been going for decades. Even when the campground is full, it never really feels crowded. There are two great beaches on Long Lake, the staff and fellow campers are always friendly! We look forward to this trip every year.
