Great family spot
We had an amazing first camping experience for our 2 year old here! The campsite was large and private with good distance between the next sites. We were on the pool/rec hall side and it definitely seemed less condensed over there than the pond side.
Family Friendly
I have been going to Papoose Pond each summer since I was little. Now taking our young kids. Great family friendly campground.
Nice campsites
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of different site types
I GREW UP HERE
My dad grew up going here and so did I. My siblings and I all learned to ride our bikes here. My nieces and nephews are now doing the same. Its where I learned to love nature. I became addicted to kayaking here and am now a wildlife ecologist!!! Its the PERFECT family campground. Kayak, canoe, SUP rentals, a carousel, pool, lake, hike, and sooooo many activities. I've stayed in tents, half moons (kitchen and bathroom but sleep in tent), cabins, RV sites....I LOVE this place so much. Its my childhood

Wonderful Campground!
Papoose is a great campground. They have basically any time of site you could ever want, from tent only sites, to rentable cabins (multiple sizes) to cottages. I always stay at an HHK site - this has it's own personal bathroom with shower, and an outdoor stovetop and sink. It's great to have multiple swimming options, depending on the weather and who you're with. We will continue to visit every year!
Amazing
Best place ever. Great pool, staff, food. Already booked a spot for next year.
Best. Campground. Ever.
I spend one week at this campground every year, and I am so sad covid killed that for us this year! However, I’m going to write this to share just how awesome it is because I can’t wait to go back!
We stay in an HHK which is a site that has its own electric stove, kitchen sink, covered picnic table, and small bathroom in the back! It’s definitely more lux than a standard site, but it makes camping with kids insanely easy. There are a million other options from plain tent sites to rentable cabins and everything in between, there’s something for everyone.
There are two sides across a road of this campground-pond side and pool side. Pond side is a lot more crowded and desired so if you’re more into a quiet experience, stick to pool side.
They have weekly events that we love! Tuesday trivia, Wednesday beach party, Thursday dance party, and Friday karaoke- the latter being the most fun! There are so many things for kids to do throughout as well, there’s very little time for down time or boredom!!
My one con is the location of public restrooms. There aren’t many, hence why we stay on a site with our own, and some are extremely far away from campsites that don’t allow campers. There’s a site called the Tree House and because the treehouse is a ‘structure’ (it contains two bunk beds) you aren’t allowed to put a tent or a camper on the site. I personally think that’s absurd, because the nearest rest room is FOREVER away. I would never be able to get my kids to the bathroom in time all the way over there. It would be amazing if they changed this policy or added another bath structure. Just keep an eye on the map when you book!
I couldn’t recommend this place more. I can’t imagine anything happening that would cause me not to return next summer or every single summer from now on. I fully intend on making this a lifetime trip.
Great camping!
We have camped at Papoose Pond every year for the last three years. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Lots of activities and fun things to do. You definitely get your money’s worth with Papoose Pond Camping!
Great campground
Lots of nice spacious wooded sites. Located on 2 sides of a road, the side opposite the lake was much nicer and more spacious. Sites around the lake very crowded together. Sites across road much more spacious. Pool on that side too. Lots of activities for the kids too. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!
Best Family Vacation
We’ve been camping as a large group here every year for 12 years. Perfect spot to relax and get away from everything. Great amount of amenities and privacy.
Family Fun Campground
Went to Papoose over Memorial weekend with the family and had a blast! Staff was super friendly, tons of activities for kids and adults, nightly entertainment, and lots more! Played parents VS kids kickball and laughed so hard. They have an nice pool and lake. We tie dyed as an activity as a family and in turn had a great souvenir to bring home. We booked for next Memorial weekend while there because we had so much fun!

Family yearly trip
This is a glamping campground and so much going on for kidd and adults. The pond is amazing. The store is huge! The sites are huge! We always get the same HHK. But they offer everything from a basic site to cottages. Nightly events for adults kids and family. Kayak/canoe rentals an anzing beach. Guided hikes. If you bring yoyr own kayaks there is a ruver with a take out close to the campground. U could walk back or drive in with a truck for pick up! This place is amazing! Will continue to go every year!
