Great Location

We stayed at the main campground in 2021. The campground was a nice place and the sites are generally under shaded trees and included electric and water. There was a dump station located at the entrance to the main campground.

We stayed there during the week when there was not a lot of poeple there using their ATV's making noise

The bathrooms were very clean and the hot water in the showers needed to be paid for.

Lots of things to do and see in the area.

Great stay! Will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at cops canyon. The weather wasn’t great but there’s so much to do in the area. The campground was very clean and updated with nice private sites. They also offered firewood delivery to your campsite

Quite place and excellent service

This was our 2nd camping trip in our brand new camper and the power wouldn’t work. My husband is an electrician by trade but didn’t bring all of his tools. The folks at Coos Canyon, we’re incredibly resourceful and got us what we needed to fix the camper! So thankful for them. They were kind and even checked in on us again. The bugs were expected, but the River frontage is incomparable. Our trip went from the worst to best solely because of the staff at coos. Thank you!

Coos Canyon

Campground is quite nice, near the canyon. Stayed in lower campground. Roads are very rough so difficult to drive on, at night the grounds are totally pitch dark and far from bathhouse. There is one outhouse available to use as well. Firewood is expensive at $8, and no it's not more wood than we've seen in other places. Staff was friendly and healpful over the phone. Cute gift shop and near the pretty canyon.

What camping in a campground should be!

We loved this place! Jeff, Cheri and Autumn, the owners for the last 3 years, are terrific people who LOVE THEIR campground and it shows! They are happy to stop and share information on whatever you want to talk about. They place has a wonderful energy about it. The Coos Canyon is adjacent to the campground and lots of swimming holes are easily accessible. There are many amazing places to visit from hiking Angel Falls to looking over Height of the Land to visiting the Rangley Lakes area. Great Lobster rolls there.

Highly recommend and will be back!

Will absolutely return

Small cute campground, what camping should be. Nice trail to the river next to our site. Dog friendly. Fun little scavenger hunt for kids of all ages. Short walk over to Coos Canyon rest area with great swim holes. Close to Tumbledown Mountain hiking, Mt Blue and Webb Lake. No cell reception and wifi only available at the camp store.

Pleasantly surprised!

Our campsite was very easy to back up our pop up camper. A Gentle little stream encompassed the site and the sound of Coos Canyon Falls nearby lulled us to sleep at night. This is a campground that is perfect for people who use four wheelers/ side by sides. Many trails to explore as well as many hiking trails. Just a bit frustration when we needed to go to office and it was closed at odd times. The only WiFi is located in the office area. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the campground itself. We had a great time exploring the Rangley area.

Very pretty

Very pretty location. If you eat, breath and live off atvs, this is the place for you. They were continuously driving around and past the campsite all day, making it a bit hard to relax when you are a non atv owner.

Otherwise its a great location, right next to the canyon you can swim in. Wasn't close enough to hear the stream at night in the wilderness sites. Dog friendly and everyone seemed to obey the rules. Very clean bathrooms that were conveniently located.

So close you can hear the river at night

We stayed late July for 3 nights during the week. Our site was right next to the river and was fantastic. Ellis pond and Webb lake were close and great to take to canoe out. Worth the trip up to rangeley roughly 40 miles from the camp. Overall great stay.

Great Campground, Wonderful Views - Great for Kids!

I highly recommend checking out the Coos Canyon Campground. The lot spaces were decently sized, and ours had water and electricity. They have a cute little general store that you can get some supplies in, along with clean showers and restrooms. You can bring in your own wood (which I recommend) or you can buy some from the store (which was a little pricey). We spent two nights there and could have spent an entire week. The canyon itself had tons to explore including rock climbing, cliff jumping, swimming, fishing, a cute little sandy beach for the littles to play on, and so much more. We brought our bikes and had fun riding around the campground. This being our first time there, I would definitely go back!

Great spot.

Very friendly place with good sized sites. Located right at coos canyon. A winding rocky river gorge. Some swimming holes and spots to jump from up on the ledges. Angel falls is about a ten minute drive from here and well worth the trip. Plenty of hiking trails including tumble down mountain. And no shortage of places to fish. You can also rent some gear to go gold panning along the river.
