Reservations are available at Eastern Slope Camping Area, a private, full-hookup campground in Conway, New Hampshire, open mid-May through the end of October. Sites accommodate RVs up to 80 feet and include electric, water, and sewer connections, along with a dump station, WiFi, and shower facilities. Campers planning a long weekend should note that in-season waterfront sites carry a seven-night minimum stay requirement, a policy that has frustrated some returning visitors.
The campground sits along the Saco River, and that river access shapes much of the experience here. Two beaches front the water, one of which allows dogs. Canoe and kayak rentals are available on-site, along with shuttle service, making it a practical base for paddlers running the Saco. "Many large trees created a lot of shade," notes Sue W., who also found the bath house to be among the cleanest she had encountered at any campground. A ball field is visible from certain sites, and evening wagon rides have been a draw for families with young children.
Sites are close together throughout most of the campground. Privacy is limited, and on busy holiday weekends the atmosphere leans social rather than quiet. Some low-lying areas near the entrance bathrooms are prone to flooding during heavy rain, a pattern that affected the campground during the summer of 2023. Most non-beach sites include a covered wooden shelter over the picnic table, a fire ring, and an individual water spigot.
Cell coverage has come up as a concern in reviews, and the on-site WiFi has been described as slow. The campground store carries a solid selection of supplies for campers who arrive missing gear. Campers exploring sites near Conway will find additional options in the corridor, including Crawford Notch Campground to the east for those seeking a quieter, less amenity-heavy setup.
Description
Over 200 generously sized sites, all with large picnic tables and fire rings.
