Great experience!

This was our first trip out with our new RV. We had a great time! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The whole campground was clean. Loved the saltwater pool and beach with our grand babies. Would definitely come back!

Very attentive staff

Some seasonal campers were pressure washing all day on a holiday weekend. I emailed the staff and they took the time to come to my site to discuss and they were great. The site we had was huge! Will come back!!

Lots of amenites and campsite options

This campground is huge with over 300 sites set on nearly 200 acres and along a beautiful lake! It is in a great location between the Lakes Region and the White Mountains in New Hampshire with lots to do in and outside of the campground. There are two distinct and separate sections– the Danforth Bay Camping and RV Resort and The Bluffs RV Resort.

They assigned us to a pull thru site (#A16) in the Danforth Bay section that would supposedly fit our 45’ motorhome. When we pulled in the place was packed. The people camped across from us had a huge group of people and a massive load of wood delivered that was in huge pile and it was obvious that fire was going to burn all day and through the weekend. The neighbors on one side of us had a table set up at the end of their site and were selling hand-made goods with their kids. We decided this was not really where we wanted to be for a peaceful fall weekend. Much less, our site was not very easy for us to get in and out of. The office agreed to move us to a site in The Bluffs section which they said were normally only for seasonal campers but they would make an exception since they were closing for the season in one week. They informed us the water would be turned off during our stay but that was fine with us since we have a large freshwater tank that we could fill up before. The site we were assigned to was all gravel with absolutely no grass which was fine with us because we were away from the ciaos of the other section.

The park was very clean and well-cared for with no trash laying around. Campsites were tidy and people didn’t have lots of junk laying around. There are some transient sites in the Danforth Bay section that are nice and private and some are close to the lake. The campground is huge so you can get a nice walk in without having to go round and round. There is a lake which was great for our lab to swim in and made for a pretty spot to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset. There are tons of camping options at this park and loads of amenities like a camp store, multiple pools, a boat launch, game room, multiple pavilions, free weekend entertainment, hay rides, lots of restrooms, dog parks and lots more. Since we were there in the end of the season, many amenities were closed and the activities had wrapped up for the season.

Great place, getting very expensive

Clean, friendly, lots are a good size. Beaches and pool are a hit with the kids. Rates have doubled, starting to look around for alternatives.

Fun and Clean. Waterslides for little kids and 2 dandy Beaches.

We love the golf carts and sandy beaches as well as the proximity to North Conway and Lake Ossipee.  Staff are nice, quiet time is a bit over enforced. Strict with dog paperwork as well so be prepared. Cabins were spotless my mother stayed in one. Otherwise the atmosphere is great. Always a good trip.

And it IS a resort!

Very nice campground, on the lake. We were just passing through and didn’t explore much, but this place is definitely going on the “return” list. Staff is great, sites are spacious and great.

Beautiful campground that the security ruins

We have stayed at Danforth Bay for several years now. At least two long weekends every year. One of these weekends we have a large group of friends that come every year. This is the only time we see each other during the year. We enjoy sitting out by the fire after the kids go to bed catching up. The campground has a rule that fires have to be out at 11:30. We are quiet and no one is around us because we all rent the sites around us. The security people have been extremely aggressive to us. I could understand if they asked us respectfully not to add to it but the woman got right in our face yelling at us and telling us that she wasn’t leaving until the fire is out including the coals. The thing that sucks is this campground have everything else we could ever look for except that rule and the security’s attitude. Apparently we are not the only people to have issues with them. The other campers not with us said they had the same problem with the attitudes but for things. I am giving the campground 1 more chance because we love the campground minus the security but if it doesn’t go well we won’t be back again.

Great facility, lots of different style sites to choose from

Located about 30 minutes south of Conway and on a bay that connects to Lake Ossippee, this is a great location and great campground. Very well spread out, with sites great for tents, pop-ups as well as the biggest of RV's. Excellent pools, including a kids pool and also a saltwater pool.

We were seasonal here for 3 years and still return each year to visit friends.

Clean, spacious campground

A friend and I stayed here for one night prior to a weekend of hiking in the Whites. Our site was clean and spacious, and it was great to be able to build a fire. There were lots of RVs around, but the peepers still drowned out the sound of the nearest generator, so that was OK by us.

AMAZING TIMES

If I had to pick one campground that I loved so much for all of our family trips it would be this one. I have wonderful memories of kayaking (their courses are great and included), watching the stars in the field near the BMX bike area, tie dye, campfires, the list just goes on and on. They have volleyball courts as well as a swim area with a dock, that I spent soon much time on.
