Kayakers and anglers find direct access to Lake Ossipee's waters at this 300-site resort spanning nearly 200 acres in Freedom. The facility connects to the lake through Danforth Bay, with a boat launch and sandy swimming areas drawing families throughout the camping season.
Two distinct sections make up the property—the main Danforth Bay Camping area and The Bluffs RV Resort. Sites range from wooded pull-throughs accommodating 45-foot rigs to waterfront spots with lake views. Nancy W. found "the park was very clean and well-cared for with no trash laying around." Full hookups serve RV campers, while tent sites cluster in more wooded areas away from the main activity zones.
Multiple pools include a saltwater option and dedicated children's area. The on-site camp store stocks basics, and kayak rentals let visitors explore the connecting waterways without hauling their own boats. Jake C. notes "Mary's mountain is a nice hike accessible from the RV/Boat storage area." Weekend entertainment and organized activities run during peak season, though these wind down by late September.
The campground enforces an 11:30 PM quiet time that some long-term visitors find strictly managed. Golf carts navigate the expansive road system, and seasonal campers occupy many sites during summer months. Dog owners must provide current vaccination paperwork upon check-in. Those seeking additional options can explore campgrounds around Freedom or check nearby The Bluffs RV Resort for a quieter atmosphere.
This resort works well for families wanting lake access with full amenities and RV travelers needing reliable hookups in New Hampshire's Lakes Region.
